Catching up, but re: GL in Peapack. I think one of the most embarrassing things I saw from that whole debacle was the Four Musketeers' high school "reunion" where they stood in a CLEARLY empty gym, gazing blankly in the direction of the camera and referring to "all of these people" that weren't actually there. Maybe there were like 4-5 people that we saw vaguely because they were meant to represent more people. The echoing was deafening.

Almost as bad: When "Evil Will" was taken away by the cops/doctors/whoever in possibly the same gym, again with zero sound control for the acoustics. I had no idea what was happening for a few minutes in addition to the awful folk rock playing.

Then there was a scene with maybe Beth and Phillip in a random classroom.

I didn't really care about that, but not being able to use "Truly" when that was their song stood out. Instead, we got muzak.

To be honest, much as I liked the idea, the recreation was always a questionable idea with Beth Chamberlin in the part.

how did that Happen? Lol

She with him, then she was with Michael E. Knight & now she's with Carrie Fisher's brother, the son of Debbie Reynolds, Gary. Apparently she does not have a type.

I thought about beginning a new topic, something maybe like "Writer's Papers & Other Resources for Soap Fans Interested in Research" but then I thought maybe this will do & it's already in existence.

To begin, something that has been mentioned in the ongoing AMC thread. The memoir, or autobiography, of one Megan McTavish which carries the somewhat unlikely title "Tap Dancing in the Cuisinart". She says that idea came from Victor Miller when he was trying to explain soap writers to other writers in the writers union. She goes on to say, "... also dedicated to (and here she lists some soap writers by name) ... and all those talented, hard working people who write soap opera ... most emphatically excluded are the daytime writers who did their very best to undermine my credibility, and my work, and expended a great deal of effort trying to get me fired. You can all go to h*ll." This is from page 7.

This is a pdf. I recommend the free version of PDF-XChange Editor. Among other things it will let you perform a search on multiple pdf files at one time.

Now there's no way to attach this file because it's too large. If you holler at me in private I will give you a way to download it. It's not even tech-scary, just in my Dropbox acct.
