Members carolineg
Well, Kayla and Kate had nothing to do with Aremid. Kayla wasn't even on the show and I think Kate was presumed dead and recast and on a fishing boat for most of the story. Kate revealing to be alive all happened on the Salem side of the show during the climax of the Aremid story. Anyway, I totally get your point. Marlena could have retold the story to those ladies and it would have been a much more accurate description of events than the tale Kristen wove. It's hard to revisit Aremid when the main players are missing here.
Members Khan
Marlena should be like the warm, stable, non-judgmental mother figure Leo's always craved, not his ride-or-die.
Members j swift
Especially Jack and Jennifer, since they were leading players in that plot
Members carolineg
Yes. They and Peter are the most glaring for me. I even think Tony and Anna should be involved. And, unfortunately, John/Stefano played huge roles in this whole story as well.
Members DRW50
Sarah was originally meant to be on an Aremid or DAYS spinoff that never was, right? Now that Aremid is back they may as well call it a spinoff.
Members te.
The issue is that Ron seems to be Mary Sue-ing himself into Leo which means that somehow, everything Leo does is forgiven and is ultimately right. And Mary Sue-ing yourself into the story is always horrible writing.
Members Bold Days
Wasn't it Marlena that sat with Leo on the couch to watch RuPaul's Drag Race? I'm pretty sure she's "hung out" with Leo a few times now, so apparently she's okay with calling him a friend.
Members Contessa Donatella
I believe that it was Marlena first enjoying "drag race" with him & maybe consuming "pork rinds" but that later Hattie did same. I'm not sure if that is odd or confusing or both.
Members AbcNbc247
Again, everything was written like a big joke. Like, wtf? And there was so much fluff and pointless filler and stupid Leo rants once again. Practically nothing happened until the wedding scenes. Did Jamey break down the whole week? Were episodes like this part of the reason why Ron was finally fired? This was not a good week for Days. Everything would’ve been so much better if it hadn’t been written like this. This is why the thought of Ron attempting a suicide mission crossed my mind because I don’t see how anybody could think this is good. And honestly, this is the one thing that I don’t want Beyond the Gates to become. And yeah, an outdoor wedding in January? Ok. At least they had Paulina mention it and included heaters lol. But yeah, they really need to bring the church set back. Or the chapel set. Anything is better than having outdoors events in the dead of winter. I hope there’s like a budget issue or something that’s preventing those sets from being used and that this isn’t just Ron’s anti-Catholic bias on display once again. I was kinda surprised to see Rita too. I can see why soaps need recurring characters like her, but considering that she was introduced the strike, I thought that meant that Ron had erased her from existence. Maybe she’s a Janet project lol But despite my dislike, I do have to say that Jada’s dress was beautiful. And that Javi/Al Calderon looked good in his suit too. Can’t say the same for his old man though. And all the mentions of Marcus and his relationships with Jada and with the Johnson family were really nice too. Leo, and Days in general, seemed to have become his vessel for projecting and venting out his own personal issues, IMO. And honestly, it’s hurting Days pretty badly. Members Contessa Donatella
Of course I dispute that it is actually back.
Members brisbydog
This is the best explanation of why Leo is so bad that I've seen so far. And it's completely correct

Members Franko
A Mary Sue is a character who can never lose. In some cases, they are someone who appears to have no flaws and/or are universally beloved. This makes it even more frustrating when a character like Leo gets such treatment.
Members te.
Most importantly - "Mary Sue" is a character who is the writers self-insert.
