Having her beg Alexis after what she had done to Alexis was also just stupid writing and another chance for someone to talk down to Ava. It’s like the show appreciates having a great actress like MW, but they despise the character of Ava and having to write for her.

Not unlike her BFF Nina.

This is facts. Just wait until they get to have Willow screaming at Nina again.

Le sigh.

Anything to make that mophead sympathetic rather than the nuances of being human.

I’m actually kind of amazed at the lack of shame Willow has now that it’s out in the open. She apparently only felt guilty or cared about Michael when he didn’t know.

Lol. More reason why I didn't mind Lucas calling her out.

That's Korte, IMO. As soon as Mulcahey was out the door Ava hit the skids again. Similar things have happened with Nina when she 'won' Sonny from Carly. Every day was about humiliating her.

On the money with this one.

I wonder how much is also just nothing being left for Ava as a character. I can say under Mulcahey Nina had more drive (even if her fans didn't seem to agree) but Ava then and now just seems like she's thrown wherever the plot dictates, and Maura has to salvage the scripts.

If they are going to have her end up losing Ric to Alexis then that will be even more of a stretch than the money to me, since I don't think Alexis would ever want Ric again.

I’m so glad I missed a lot of that. I came in right when it was revealed Nina reported them to the SEC and they found out. That was enough of a beat down every few days for me. But then PM smartly used it to start the Nina/Drew affair that the new writers have completely ruined.

Surprisingly there was still quite a bit of chemistry between NLG and RH when they were decorating the house for Molly. But I really can’t see Alexis ever going back to him.

I agree. They work well together and I know his history with Alexis and Kristina is more complicated than his return has suggested. It's hard to see her ever going there again though (then again she was with Julian for 500 years...).

Willow really took Wiley to DC to be with her lover and didn’t even tell Michael. I need him and the Quartermaines to completely destroy these two.

Lulu was awful today. I’m glad Dante brought up Sam. And also pointed out how little it seems Lulu even cares about Rocco.

Yep, I hate the soap trope of a woman raising a child on her own with no help from the very rich father. Just so ridiculous. It doesn't make the mother look empowered. It makes her look stupid.

Sasha is coming off so stupid to me.

I think the Ava B/C-story with Ric (because that's what it is at present, though I enjoy them together) is more about marginalizing her again vs. her being bone-dry as a character. Ava can still almost always get up to shít IMO. But someone didn't like her having one over on Sonny, etc. and as soon as the writers changed she was out his door and into a meandering court subplot, and now this.

I can sooner see Alexis having a casual fling with Sonny again (as we've discussed before) than Ric tbh. But yes, Rick and Nancy have always had chemistry. That pairing was really torpedoed.

That story was so confused to me because I felt like she came across as foolish as Sonny in many ways. I wonder what Mulcahey's original plans would have been. I assume he was already iced out by the time we got to the dumbest parts (her outing Blaze).

I think Ava was going to go to Valentin after puzzling out that he screwed with Sonny's meds (her discovery of which was done very clumsily, I agree) and they were going to collude for awhile. But who knows.
