Wait a new room in the Q mansion without all the blue and grey. Just when I think GH couldn’t have more sets, something else pops up.

It's not a new room; it's a room that was used pretty consistently in the 2000's/2010's, and was predominately used while the "remodel" was happening. Here it is in some "classic" scenes:

2005:

1992 (potentially the same room?):

Joss/Trina/Gio/Kai set needs some interlopers badly and messier storylines. They’ve spent most of the year focused on their parents and mentors drama instead of creating their own. They’re all so saccharine like a bunch of Power Rangers too and its boring to watch.

Recurring problem. This is why Esme was fun before they broke her too. Everyone on this show is either too genial or a maniac.

guess I struggle with giving a character something as major as child without any reasoning besides FV thinking the audience loves baby stories.

Which are so old fashioned because people are not having kids like they used too, not having them as young.

Esme was who I was thinking of when I said this show just needs simple schemers. Esme would have been great as a bitchy, Regina George-type vixen but nope. They literally made her a demon spawn.

They were definitely teeing up casting Natalia's son Eloi under the PM regime. I am sure it is still coming to try to shore up ELR's role on the show, but I'd just as soon never hear of him again. I have no need for any more of Natalia, her children or her inevitable husband Baldo a.k.a. Sidwell a.k.a. "Arr, Me Jewels!"

The youth set is indeed simpering. You look at the young people on the Hulu soaps even 10 years ago and it's a stark difference.

I like Natalie, I want to meet Eloi, and I want Blaze to come back.

I'd love to have Blaze return from a successful tour but I cannot see it happening any time soon. Can you?

I wish evil Esme would return. I want another round of her villainy.

I think that Kristina's storyline will lead to Blaze's return in the second half of 2025.

Kristina and Molly have been missing this week. I am having withdrawal due to their absence.

Okay, yes, by then, maybe. I was speaking of now, or very soon, which as I said, I do not see happening. But maybe 6 months from now. Sure, that would be great. Vinnie of Suds & Square Circle Media podcast is going to try to get Jacqueline Grace Lopez back again for their Monday night podcast after the holidays.

The show doesn’t care about TJ anymore. They couldn’t fit him into the Ashford gathering.

And just when I thought there couldn’t possibly be more sets. Nina’s fully decorated for the holidays home shows up. Y&R should truly be embarrassed.

While I appreciate all the sets on GH, Nina's apartment is a fail to me.

It's too big, too bland. Looks more like a hotel lobby than a living space.

I've said this too much, but I think it's both FV and the network hedging their bets. They don't want to rock the boat and seem only interested in maintaining their shaky equilibrium, so they go with what allegedly can be easily greenlit by a skittish network: Babies, babies and more babies, which fill lots of airtime per year, monopolize long story and are reasonably conservative. Plus secret children. It keeps a lot of the show on cruise control and avoids edgy social content.

The kid issue, in terms of keeping all of them onscreen, is more about FV IMO; I think he is an indulgent paternal figure to a lot of young people raised on the show, just as he was at OLTL or with Nicolas Bechtel/Brooklyn Rae Silzer, and is often fond of them and loath to cut any of them. To the show's detriment.

Forgot to add I do remember that old Q drawing room(?) as well and am thrilled to see it again, even if it's got that weird new color scheme. They rarely show it these days but should do so more often.
