Completely agree!! I was totally in love with her look today they did a great job between the hair and the dress of what a diva Jill should be!

Another good episode today. I was a little underwhelmed going in at first by it being another monumental episode a with Abby wedding, but there actually more focus of everything else to make it work.

Key moments I enjoyed:

Yolanda/Harmony AND Ana back. The show dropped a huge ball squandering Loren Lott, it’s never too late to say sorry is it?

Jill’s scenes with Billy

The Jack and Ashley scenes and catching up…I was a bit surprised Ashley didn’t know what happened with Jack and Nikki but then again she wasn’t herself was she?

Sharon vs Phyllis coming to a head with the car crash…not everything is at it seems is it?

And finally, I loved seeing Diane just casually slip in at the last moment in the back.

Loose note...YOU BETTA SING, ANA!!!! Oh, how I've missed Loren Lott!!!

Where do I even start? Other than the dresses. LOL!!! I was worried when I saw pictures of Nikki's dress, but seeing it on my screen...that top works perfectly with that. And blue is clearly becoming MTS's color. Other highlights were Ana's, Audra's (YOU GO, GIRL!!!), Victoria (love the ponytail!), Ashley, Diane (I know she didn't crash hehe), and of course the wedding girl Abby.

So sweeping camera angles in the openings are really going to be a thing. lol. I thought it was very interesting that they started this episode just like they started their last episode milestone episode with Abby in that room. Really funny since that last time she was marrying Chance. And how they had the ranch set up and used space was really good. And that angle when Victor interrupted Devon, Lily, Nate, Yolanda, and Ana with the camera over the table...mmmm. And to see so many of the cast was cute. I see you in that suit, Josh Morrow.

I too enjoyed Jack and Ashley talking anew. It's been forever. And of course, Ashley will be there talking sense.

EAT HIS ASS, VICTOR. EAT...HIS...ASS. I'm so serious. lol. Thank you for wiping that smug look off Billy's face like I expected him to. Him telling Billy to swallow his ego for his NIECE...YAASSSS!!! CHECK HIM. lol. But I loved that whole scene where Billy pulled Lily aside to warn her, Jill wants in, she and Victor exchange a look...that Billy and Lily catch...that was well-executed.

Viva La Jill!!! She was still looking fierce today. And just the tale that JW was telling with her face as she was talking to Billy at Chancellor was such a masterclass of acting. You could tell Jill was so conflicted on what to say to him...that Victor had won...that Billy was fired. Even though he did everything she wanted. I didn't feel a thing for Billy, but I felt plenty for Jill in that moment. And of course, Jill would not be Jill if she didn't get into it with Esther...who also looked good.

And AHA!!!!!!!!!!  If Sharon lost her phone, then WHO is sending Phyllis texts? And how the episode played out it COULDN'T be Sharon. Meaning I'm probably right and someone is drugging her!!!!!!!! Which probably means that she did not kill Heather. Finally a turn in this storyline!!!

And yes, I loved the Neil AND Dru mention.

There's a reason I do the Sweep Threads asking will be Sweeps...or Sleeps here. It's like a running joke at this point.

But I agree that when JG does still have moments when things are going good. And they will be that way for a while. His writing just errs and flows too much. I would say before now...the last time the episodes had any flow that hit the whole canvas was during Ashley's storyline once everyone started to realize she had alters and hit another level of flow when a third of the cast hit Paris. And since Ashley's storyline climaxed (for now?) in Paris, the flow to the writing slowly left again. So it's good to see the momentum again.

Oh? Why not if you don't mind me asking.

    • I still continue to think that Dani is written like she's been in a soap opera for 20 seasons and she's come to a point where she's completely spent storyline wise. It's a vibe I'm getting. Characterization wise... It's like she is either incredibly stupid... or just plain delusional and out of touch with reality. I choose to pick the second option. Also... to me... she has not been entertaining for months now. Ever since they decided to jump straight to... she's an alcoholic... which we didn't need at this point... the character has struggled. Her initial Ex-wife-from-hell bravado was more interesting, even though cliche.  I expect her to improve in the coming months... they used her as a clown type of character to draw in views. Now I need to see the human being. If there is one, behind the soap opera caricature.
    • A full 1973 episode that looks fantastic in color.
    • It 's obviously cheaper to go the true crime route. Having different reporters and production teams covering a variety of topics costs more. The networks are delivering budget programming these days.
    • Maybe because 60 Minutes has kept the same formula for almost 57 years? Usually, there is more than one interview/topic discussed, like a real magazine. Dateline, 20/20, and so many others have all fallen to the one-subject formula: True crime. I mean, I'm a Forensic Files junkie and loved original America's Most Wanted back in the day, but even I think the TV market has been over-saturated with all crime, all the time. There was still that element when these shows began, but they were a segment of an episode, not the entire episode. Maybe the audience is just getting bored with such a fixed formula. If stories were intermixed with crime, some feel-good segment, and maybe something to do with lifestyle/music/and yes, as much as I have come to hate it, political issues, maybe these shows could rally. As they are - again, minus 60 Minutes - they have become tired and predictable.
    • Interesting tidbit- Robert Newman (Josh) dated Jennifer Cooke (Morgan) when they first started on Guidling Light (it was reported in the press and I think they talked about it in interviews). I did see (as a young kid) Rita having a flashback about Roger's rape of her --and it was confusing as a kid because she was on the floor leaning against her bed and she looked like she was seduced by force and her dress was in disarray, her hair was mussed, make up was a bit messy, but she looked at him with fear, disgust and confusion but the camera was in soft focus (so I get why people may say it was romanticized)--and I remember asking what happened to her and told well she is having nightmares/flashbacks of Roger not being nice to her
    •   Like I said I wasn’t talking about characterization. It makes sense that Dani is in denial. However literally no one in the real world would accuse someone of faking a pregnancy. Why? Because it’s just not feasible. What is Dani supposed to expect from Hayley—that she’ll be hiding a pillow under her shirt 24/7? Come on. The accusation has no legs, and that’s exactly why nobody would ever go there. A far more plausible accusation—one that actually has been made for centuries—is that someone might lie about who the father is. Dani only vaguely hinted at that, but at least that angle would make some narrative sense. I’d go for a coworking space that would be home to these small businesses like Kat and Chelsea’s bag startup (the whole police station trope feels like copaganda to me)
    • I guess RTPP looked worse because it followed Another World, but it's a shame they didn't give it more time especially considering how the shows that were put on following it fared.
