Another Body&Soul day, another waste of time. Hopefully, this isn’t a sign of things to come this month.

And a Jamey episode, to make it even worse.

Marie Fallon, who plays a Nun?

And btw, I love how Seth Burns, chief of staff, or whatever the hell he is, of a major hospital has the time to be an actor.

The one comfort about all this is that if this crap actually was a real soap, Soap Twitter would be ripping it to pieces. Hopefully, another Days actor will speak out against all of this too.

Continuing the discussion from the previous months thread, but I can't believe this Body & Soul story was greenlit and allowed to air.

Not only is it clear Ron hates soaps, his own job, and his own audience, but the "humor" is such a thinly veiled attempt for Ron to air his own personal grievances.  Every time I hear one of the jokes about making a soap opera it makes me feel stupid for being a fan and watching.  I am not laughing with them.  Ron/Jamey are laughing at me for watching this dreck.  I seriously wonder if Ron knew he was halfway out the door and wrote this as revenge.  We know he's petty.

I think Kate, Abe, Johnny, Chanel, Alex, and even Stephanie treat the show fairly seriously and if only they were involved I probably wouldn't hate it.  Adding those idiots Bonnie, Hattie, and Leo is where it because a big joke.  A few witty lines about soaps is one thing, but writing this with the intent of mocking the genre, the actors, and the fans is one of the most idiotic things I have ever seen air on daytime.

Firing Bonnie, knowing what Judi Evans went through, is another insult to both the actor and the audience. This isn't funny, cute or smart. It's desperate and ill-executed. No wonder the "writer" is GONE!

Not only is it insulting, but the show made it seem like Bonnie was the better actress and that Hattie really couldn't act-she just looked like Charlamagne.  So it doesn't really make sense that Hattie would be more valuable.

It's an absolute mess and an insult to daytime as a whole, and they're really exemplifying what everyone already thinks about daytime.

I honestly took it as a veiled shot at Deidre Hall implying certain actresses/actors/characters trump talent and throw their weight around to get others fired.  But Ron seems to like Deidre so maybe I am overthinking it.

Most likely. The "writer" has his very noticeable favourites, and I do believe Deidre Hall is one of them.

Agreed.  I do think Deidre is one of Ron's faves.   He's always seemed to prefer John/Marlena to Steve/Kayla.

Anyhow, it felt like a skit on why soap actors get fired sometimes.  Soap stars are divas and demanding.

It did feel very skittish, and not a good one at that. But again, the fact stands firm: having Judi (as Bonnie) be fired, knowing what she endured on that set, felt WRONG, but very in-line with the "writer" and his M.O.

The bottom line is everything about Body & Soul has been in bad taste.  From the start.

Well, let's hope by the new regime it'll be done and over with.

My darling Anthony had you read the spoilers you'd have seen that Monday and Tuesday's show was pure Body & Soul.😉

That's why I didn't bother watching them.

Regular programming resumes tomorrow.😂

I need to read spoilers more often too!  Could have saved myself the annoyance lol

At this point, the B&S stuff feels like we've said as mush as can be said.

However, it also just doesn't make sense that they'd kill off either Bonnie or Hattie on the first week of filming.  They only have four characters.  And hasn't Leo written scripts past the first episode?

Also, mocking the flower story is a weird choice.  Is he making fun of his own creative choices?  Because the scabs were not involved in the orchid story, that was all RonC.  So, what does it mean that now it is the subject of ridicule?
