I'm making a note of this. Ranger said this on Wed., 9-4-24. I hope that by Nov. sweeps you might have to, oh, I don't know, maybe eat your hat. I say this knowing I could be totally wrong. As long as we keep talking, keep watching & generally have a blast!

I agree. I might not have liked how it came about that I liked Y&R Dylan on Y&R and it seems he was acting as Harris on DAYS. And that definitely carried over back to GH.

And at least thanks to PM...Jason has more avenues and stories to tell now than Sonny. I mean...isn't the big discussion here today the fact that we have all seen Sonny go through the motions of this storyline all before. Meanwhile, Jason had the avenues of his kids...ladies NOT NAMED CARLY...dealing WITH Carly now that he had men (first Wagger, now my Beast Brennan)

In complete agreement. It sucked that as soon as Sonny’s meds got fixed and well honestly once PM was being interfered or taken out, Jason stopped sharing scenes with his kids and baby mamas regularly, hell Jake got sent over seas. Now he’s back to Sonny’s errand boy, but I’d love to see him working for the WSB.

I never want to hear the name McConkey again. Also- Drew can talk about Alan all he wants, I will never buy it.

Tristan Rogers looks his age. His spark as Robert was still there today though.

One thing this year did right was put Alexis back into the mix of the major stories. She should never have been sidelined to begin with. In near panic mode with that gun about to make a mistake is classic Alexis and I am happy to see it. The fact that Ric and Liz saw her was fantastic. My only real quibble is they could have made this a whodunnit, and kept the audience in the dark for a couple of months.

We have lost the smart and insightful dialogue, and any clear attempt at changing  anything with Sonny. But today’s episode was mostly fun to watch. Stupid at times, but fun.

Were they really trying to go for humor in the scenes where Sonny and Carly were trying to work out their alibi? This show is lost.

Of course the show continues to vilify Jagger so as to make Sonny's killing seem justifiable. Both Anna and Mac comment on how Jagger went to a dark place Mac seemed so enthused when he heard Jagger was back in town, he wanted to catch up. Today Mac was more like "meh, he's dead"; I guess Mac never got to talk with him.

Due to the ABC and DirectTV beef I had to go and buy an antenna to be able to catch the show live

just watched the recent two episodes on Hulu though

I really wish they had let who shot Jagger be a mystery. Its hard for me to fully care about a lot of the material happening now when we already know Sonny did it in cold blood. They took away at least a month’s worth of tension and suspense that could’ve been played up. Classic CVE wrong turn with a semi interesting setup, as entertaining as the show has been daily I knew the cracks would start to show eventually with him back in charge and here we are.

Michael and Carly just readily helping Sonny cover up the murder is true to character but definitely feels been there done this. I laughed at Nina and Tracy’s reactions to Carly and Sonny waltzing into the Q living room to sell the alibi and was glad when Tracy immediately pegged Sonny as Jagger’s killer. MB and LW have an easy on screen dynamic but I’m really not interested in another round of CarSon man, ugh.

Kristina’s grief at the grave site did not work for me at all and I really need her to get checked for the “my baby” spiels again, preferably with someone giving her a good ole Stephanie Forrester slap. They framed the gun taking as just looking for justice against Ava and Jagger in her scenes with Michael but I still hope they go deeper than that.

What I did love was her scenes with Sam and Alexis on Tuesday’s show. Glad we finally got to see Sam and Kristina connect over losing their babies right at the delivery finish line. I’m still holding out hope the show reverses a certain decision….

I was so proud of Liz dumping Finn the second he went off the rails so her letting Ric charm her like this is a bit sad for me. That said, Rebecca H and Rick H still have stellar chemistry. Them peeping Alexis tossing Sonny’s gun off the bridge was funny.

This Jason and Ava team up has been surprisingly interesting. Loved their scenes taking down the fake agent, Maura West did some good work there with Ava reclaiming her power. Then the scenes for Wednesday’s show with Diane having to defend them both and Anna revealing Jagger’s death were cool too. Anna telling Jason she was proud of him for calling the police was hilarious, this is still one of my favorite dynamics on the show.

Jordan’s deep interest in identifying Isaiah is a little clunky for me but at least she finally has something to do. Stephen A Smith trying to mack on her is always kind of odd to view, I can never take their scenes seriously and it takes me out of the viewing experience a bit. Shout out to him for making that Disney contract work to his advantage though.

Willow and Drew and their “morals” are grating on my nerves now, just hunch already lol.

I’m glad Holly showed up when she did because Lucky and his captor playing cards was so boring. I did appreciate the LnL2 flashback though. Emma Samms looks amazing my goodness Tristan Rogers’ appearance did shock me a few episodes back but he was fine in his scenes with Mac. I’m actually glad he’s back onscreen which is funny because I disliked him for years at Y&R and during his Guza era returns.

Overall the show is still decent but some of these story turns feel a little too back to basics. Still curious how the rest of the week goes.

I totally agree about Jagger's death.  A mystery would have been more interesting.  I still wouldn't have cared a lot, but at least there were multiple suspects and it could have played out longer.

I have enjoyed Jason/Ava too.  That's about it lol.

Hopefully, the Lucky story picks up now.

    • You know what is a great way to stop these unclear "rumors"?  Just stop posting them and then back tracking with words like "apparently".   Anyhow, I didn't find the Tracy/Lois scenes as good as I hoped.
    • Jason, in thinking this over, I realize that we look at this space, differently. To me it is a potentially collaborative space. Now that I've realized this, what I should have said, "I'm having a problem because what I'm seeing is not matching up with your descriptions. Maybe these files I just got are misdated. Maybe it's something else. I will keep you posted. Meanwhile this episode, its edit, is ready, even though I might have to issue a corrected date later. But, people can enjoy the performances now.
    • Thank you for the constructive suggestion.
    • But how is it "apparent" that she signed a new 3-year contract? Your wording had a voice of authority -- as if you knew it was true. A better way to post about it? Say you read online that she signed a new contract, but have no idea if that's true.
    • This interview actually reminds me a bit of Kim Zimmer’s press during the infamous clone storyline on Guiding Light, or Deidre Hall during the possession story on Days. All three were seasoned daytime veterans who made it clear they valued airtime for their characters, not just being part of a romantic pairing. It seems that idea was part of the pitch behind these bigger-than-life plots. They all took big swings in their performances. When I read Kim Zimmer’s memoir, I thought she captured it best — she wanted to be respected for being willing to take those risks. To paraphrase her, she knew it was ridiculous for Reva to think she was pregnant after menopause, but she still threw herself into those scenes and made them real. That’s what really struck me about Victoria Wyndham’s interview too. She responded like a real person. It felt like she was telling Michael Logan that she knew Justine — and a geriatric pregnancy with twins — was totally preposterous, but that she still deserved credit for trying to keep the show alive and entertain the audience. And honestly, I think that's more than fair. Logan is looking for a reductive answer for who is to blame.  And, she's telling him to accept that they were all well-meaning.  Which is not a defense of bad storytelling.  But, I understand that she's frustrated because she interpreted Logan's critique as a lack of commitment, and she wants him to know that she was committed! (maybe not for the best, but committed).
    • Fine, you only had to say so. It's not a problem to me NOT to post this. I have no idea what this means.
    • Oh, really? I think we're really getting close.  What does "apparently" mean to you? To me, it means that this is something I think has happened but not something I absolutely positively know to have happened. When I use a word like "apparently" as I have here, I am doing so by intent. Can you think of a better way to communicate that?
    • Wow...I was not expecting a montage.   I know SilkPress did not!!! Poor Eva.  Lol. Funnily enough I missed that.
    • For the record, VW thought having the twins at their ages was absurd & who wanted that story, was some group of fans, who wanted her & Carl to have a chance at having children together. Not any fans that I knew of, but supposedly they existed.
