Just finished with the episode. GMAB! Imposter Abby's accomplice is Dr. Mark Greene?!!!!

I thought Tate looked odd in a tiny pair of brown shorts & nothing else.

I cannot stand Sofia. Plus she is very boring.

Correct me if I am wrong but we learned they have a significant lead about the hit-and-run car but did not let us in on what said lead is!!

Xander is already way too on edge!

Are Holly & Sarah friends?

I just wonder why no one questioned how Abigail grew several inches on top of getting a new face.

I don’t know what she was trying to do. I was trying to picture Missy playing that and I honestly just couldn’t see it. I dislike Missy as a person but she’s Jennifer to me. Cady was decent during the months she was playing the time jump. But during the pop ins she’s not very good.

In what world would Jack and Jennifer leave right after getting their daughter back from the dead. I wish Jennifer would trust that first instinct she had.

Really enjoyed Gabi confronting Ava and Stefan. NuGabi has really owned the role now. I miss CB, but the new actress is doing really well.

Connie the campy serial killer is soooo annoying for me. And I like Melinda so that’ll be annoying if she’s killed off too.

That Phillip dialog almost made me turn off the episode. Who is this supposed to appeal to?

I wish there was something other than Body and Soul to get all these characters to interact. The day RC is gone I want them to never reference and pretend Body and Soul never happened.

Didn’t Ava directly cause Papa Shawn’s death? Why is Roman sitting here being her therapist

.

EJ is so wrong for telling “Abby” all the messy sh.it for his own amusement. Are he and Chad even on bad terms right now?

I actually really bought the emotions between Stefan and Gabi in those scenes in her office. Really great.

Always love Chad and Julie scenes. Really makes Chad feel part of the Hortons even while Abby is dead.

I think even if it the premise was a movie or a tv show and not a soap it could work.   Say Kate optioned one of Will's scripts and decided to make it into a movie or a show.  You could basically have the same people work on the show/movie without it being on the nose goofy.  You'd lose Leo in the equation because there'd be no need for a writer and half the dialogue because it's mostly jokes.  I think all of us would be fine with that.

For me, it is the random self-awareness.

On the one hand, they are cognizant of SORASing, but they are still surprised when people return from the dead, have DID, or wear a latex mask.

Actually, to their credit, nobody seems that blown away that Abigail has returned from the dead.  They seem pretty chill (except for Jennifer).

A J&M said on Twitter months ago when someone asked that it was the plane where she was conceived. A lot of people including me when I watched the last blast years thought she was conceived on the table. Given that was the jump off for bad seed, bad girl, vixen Sami along with her rape, bulimia and Carrie testimony. Days also seemed to put a lot of emphasis on the Conference table over the decades and given they can barely remember what they wrote months ago I would be surprised if they actually knew.

I think the correct answer is the plane too.  I've always thought/heard that as well.  I just think the show changed it over the years, like you said, because the conference room table is more dramatic, more memorable, and easier to explain the Sami of it all.  Days has put an insane amount of emphasis on the John/Marlena affair over the years lol.

I think they see it as there crowning jewel moment of the last 30 years because it drove a lot of story, still does to this day. Sami's heel turn, Belle's conception, the end of Roman/Marlena, beginning of Jarlena, Carrie vs Sami, Will conception, the iconic legendary dynamic of Marlena vs Sami mother daughter relationship which only 2nd to Anna/Robin, Laura/Lesley as the best mother daughter relationship of all time on daytime. Honestly J&M is pretty much the only affair I have truly understood & didn't hate. I sympathize with everyone involved they were all truly victims of circumstances beyond their control. "Stefano killing Roman" The Pawn,RoJohn Marlena presumed death, Ophearlis The Pier, Isabella death and 2 Romans it was the perfect storm that made it so compelling and still able to drive story 3 decades. We will never see anything like that on this show again

And, may I just say THANK GOD for small favors. Not all of us celebrate the boink. However, I think that Deidre deserved an Emmy for this

I've been thinking. Who know the date of both - plane & table. I'm gonna look at the episodesagain. Yes, I am a glutton for punishment, at times.

    • I'm copying and pasting the entire post because, while I enjoyed the watch, I agree with every single one of your points (as I posted above I thought the dialogue tried for clever sophistication without sounding realistic throughout, in fact.)
    • I've just been over Josslyn since her corn costume on Halloween, putting her into a "leading lady" kind of position, simply because she is Carly's daughter, all while backburning other children is annoying AF.
    • Hilarious that Steffy just barges into Brooke's house to see Hope without knocking. Ridge bought it, so I guess she feels she's entitled to.
    • Joss is nowhere near the top of my list to keep currently.  I just wouldn't kill her off and consider bringing her back sometime down the line.  I guess it depends on how well the show is able to develop the next generation of talent with Rocco, Danny, Georgie, etc.
    • I've watched more episodes, but I wanted to make one short comment before I made my longer post. Someone on the show loves dressing men in ways where they have plunging necklines and show lots of chest hair. Not complaining but I think Chief Marceau (sp?) and Logan are the only two who have not shown their chest hair at this point. I have now watched episodes 6077 to 6090. I'm up to September 11, 1979. Nancy and Mike have returned from their vacation. Ann Flood is another wonderful presence. She's only had a few scenes, but I already like her. They're worrying about Draper and his lost job offer in New York. The truth is slowly coming out. I can't say that I'm invested all that much. I still don't care all that much about Draper, but he's no longer bellowing and whining so it's all good. He has had some nice scenes with April and there was an uncomfortable confrontation with Margo. Draper and Logan's scenes are where I like him the best. The two actors play well off each other. Also, Draper and Raven have an interesting thing in scenes. I wonder if they hook up at some point. They always give each other weird looks during scenes. Is this foreshadowing? Hmmm. The Raven of it all. MY word Sharon Gabet is amazing. How did she not win the Emmy? Was this going on during the Judith Light time? Gabet owns every scene. Raven and Eliot's scenes crack me up. Gabet and Lois Kibee are giving masterclass acting scenes in their moments together. I never wanted their confrontations to end. Kibbee's Geraldine has discovered Raven doing something she should not be doing and that confrontation was pitch perfect. The later scene with Logan was shocking. He does something that I've rarely seen on soaps. Such good storytelling and acting. I also liked how April and Draper were drawn into the madness.  Paige/Tobias/kidnapping/Steve: This is the one storyline that suffers because I came into the show late. I'm not connecting to it as much although I enjoy it. Steve and his low cut shirt amuse me. Calvin is such a cute and bright presence. I thought they were writing him off, but he's back  so apparently not. Marceau seems to be leaving but I hope not. The actor is wonderful. Deborah has come back in the episode I just started so Frances Fisher is here. I will say the actor playing Tobias is excellent. I think he was on another ABC show I watched but I'm not googling.  Nora/Owen/Eddie/Brian/Paige: After a week of non-stop Nora, the movie storyline has not started full force yet. It's more about Nora's drinking and Brian and Paige's feelings for each other. Nora is becoming more manipulative as she lies to all of them so they will make the movie. Owen revealed Brian's secret which I accidentally guessed from the first episode, but I actually don't think it's true. Eliot/Margo: Margo had a fantastic scene with April where April confronted her about the real relationship she has with Eliot. Mario admitted the truth. It's so refreshing when characters are intelligent and honest. It makes their mistakes even more heartbreaking. They're not idiots. Eliot is such a fabulous character. He's an absolute slime and yet he's one of the most compelling characters on the show. So nice to be hooked into a soap opera again.
    • Joss can go, permanently; killed off, body bag and all, and never ever return.

    • I was under the impression that it is always wrong to post private email unless there is some threat of bodily harm. But I think your doing so brings up an interesting point since it shows that I had known about the illness/disease since the prior April if I am wrong & you are right & my point was to break the news why didn't I post it ages ago? My reply is that my point was never about scoop or breaking news.  Somewhere in this onslaught you've said I posted about some actors having an affair. I have zero idea what or who you're talking about.  You mention a cast member's medical condition which about a dozen people discussed & someone NOT ME began the discussion at least a month before I joined it.  Is everyone who took part in that conversation based on having concern for the actress in trouble or just me? There are definitely things that are not true ... and they are not lies told by me. Probably they are things being misremembered.
    • Lol.  I still believe there is a place for Joss on the canvas.  This just isn't it and I am not sure Eden McCoy is the right choice for the role.
    • I haven't read it since high school--but it has stuck with me and is a pretty important book (as a kid I did always assumed it was related to the Wells work too
