So, as I was watching today's show, I found myself thinking maybe I could skip these episodes. Uh-oh. A lot of boring goes a long way. And, since I was VERY bored, I was overly critical, I suspect. I thought Kristen not letting Brady have a visit with Rachel because he drives a gray car crazy. At any given point hordes of people have the same color car.

Fiona's schtick is going to be saying what she did out loud over & over so someone WILL over hear it!!! That trope & Fiona are locked in combat.

I'm trying to come up with a rose. I guess Sarah. And, ba dumbah, once again my thorn goes to whoever wrote this mess.

I love the Chad/Julie relationship. Their scenes today were some of the best. They really do work well together, though I’ll never understand why Chad left “Abigail” at the Dimera mansion.

EJ being a petty bitch was unnecessary though. If there had been a reason why he told “Abigail” about her past, I’d understand, but there wasn’t. I was hoping that Chad would’ve knocked him out. The writers really need to make a decision with his character and what he’s supposed to be instead of flip-flopping between tragic hero and villain and petty bitch.

And I like that Gabi is not immediately going to forgive Stefan. That makes perfect sense considering her character lol I’m curious as to where they’re going to go from here. There’s a lot that can be done with them.

Btw, wtf was that conversation between Roman and Ava today?

So, I assume we're headed toward an EJ/F-Abby/Chad triangle.  I mean, there are too few women left to pair with EJ, and f-Abby will have an easier time with EJ than Chad to get the same reward.  It is just too absurd that having just sent Theresa off to prison, everyone isn't a bit more apprehensive.

The rules around ghost-Li are unclear.  I thought he was Connie's hallucination.  But, when he disagreed with her about Melinda, it made it seem as if he was his own sentient ghost.

I guess Roman's a “girl-dad” after his experiences with Carrie and Sami, so Ava and Stephanie just feel comfortable confessing to him.  Or, he's such a mumble mouth, they assume nobody would understand him if he broke their confidence.

On Monday, wasn't Ava rushing off to see Melinda?

And welcome back, Dr. Mark! We’ve missed you

Too had it looks like he’s gonna get ruined. @j swift I guess you were right about the DNA test.

I’m all for Sophia trying to seduce Tate and Tate having a reaction to it. This could finally be some good conflict for Tate and Holly. Hopefully, she doesn’t immediately believe him after he explains everything to her. Or at least continues to be suspicious. She can confide everything in Sarah lol I really liked their scene today and I hope they continue to show the relationship between the two of them. And all of Holly’s suspicions and also finding out that she’s partially to blame for Sarah’s accident, can finally push Tate into Sophia’s arms. I still wish that we knew more about Sophia’s character though.

As for Chad, he seemed a little stupid today. I really hope that this doesn’t become the norm for this storyline. Btw, is anybody questioning why “Abigail” has a phone, if she’s been in captivity for two years?

I haven't watched the today's show yet, but I had the same thought about the phone the other day.  Even if someone gave it to her like Clyde wouldn't everybody be looking at the phone for evidence?   Track down these "nurses"? Instead of blindly believing a DNA test done by Kayla it's making everyone look dumb by not asking more questions.  Especially people who are actual reporters and newspaper owners lol.

Okay.  Watched the episode.

Well, hello Tate!  Lol.  I really like Sophia, but she needs a little more depth to be a viable obstacle.  She's pretty one note.

I see ALM shares Marci Miller's love of ugly maxi dresses for Abby. lol.  I suppose it's possible Chad or Jack gave her a phone.

After watching Curtis on GH acting like his entire life was over because he was paralyzed, it's nice to see Sarah have a positive attitude.  She's still sad and upset, but can joke and smile.  She's actively thinking about the adjustments she needs to make.  It's a refreshing attitude.

Why can't Brady find his car?  It's been like a day and he just hasn't looked for lol.  The obvious assumption would be that it got towed so it should be easy to track down.  It's also kind of rude for Maggie to just expect Fiona to watch Victoria without calling first.

Overall a good episode.

I didn’t have any problem with her scenes but they rushed it. This all should have happened a little while later.

They really should have had Sophia visit Tate a lot during the summer, while Holly was working. In the process, we could have learned why Sophia is doing all this, that why her anger towards Holly would have been more understandable.

I’m really worried that he’s gonna be ruined.

Yeah that would have helped.

I probably would have kept Sophia as a friend to Tate/Holly to their faces while she secretly sabotaged their relationship.  Since Tate/Holly already know her game it's not as dramatic.  I assume there will be some sort of drunken Tate/Sophia hookup and pregnancy or something like that.

I took ghost-Li's disagreement re Melinda as an attempt to give a little more dimension to Connie's character, ie, there's some small part of her that's sane. When ghost-Li tells Connie not to kill Melinda, "sane Connie"--however small that part of her is--is being given voice. However, if that's actually what they were going for, that minimal "helping" of "sanity" doesn't help anything IMHO: Connie is still a major mess.

    • I did some research and the story wrapped up with a caretaker responsible for Georgina's death who then  tried to do away with Laurie but a vision of Georgina spooked him and he fell to his death. So there was a supernatural element.
    • AI has it wrong. David was working as an aide at PV Hospital due to failing to save his brother's life and refusing to continue as a doctor. His true profession was revealed later. Edna had divorced him while he was in Vietnam and he had no reason to be in contact with her. He had no idea that he had a daughter.  Ruth was Ruth Martin, she was still married to Joe, not Jeff. He was not deceiving Ruth as he believed that Edna was his ex. The poisoning story happened late in his run and probably introduced when they knew Gleason was leaving. AI's interpretation of him as conniving seems to based on that short lived poisoning story and other misinformation. For most of 76 he was involved in the Ruth/Joe triangle to the point where Ruth was ready to divorce Joe and leave town. Joe had to have surgery, David operated and Ruth suddenly realized she wanted to stay with Joe despite all the problems they'd been happening. David then got involved with Christina with Jeff and then Edna as complications. And he arrived late 75 not 76.
    • Interesting that they started going into a supernatural direction with ghosts - I don't think they really did that before? I wonder if it was a response to getting put so late in the afternoon and I guess trying to appeal to that former Dark Shadows audience?
    • That makes sense then! Is there a place where you can read more Daytime Serial Newsletters? They sound very informative. Thank you

    • Yep. Access to the Vault works fine but upon downloading attempts an error message pops up.   Maybe it is just a temporary glitch.

    • I'm pretty sure this ep is  from Dec 73 From the Daytime Serial Newsletter Ian and Valerie Northcote are deeply concerned over Laurie's  life being increasingly dominated by hallucinations and fantasies about Georgina, the former owner of the house the Reddins recently bought and are now living in. Doreen Post (Linda Purl) was involved in that story .Perhaps she was going to be revealed as Georgina's daughter? Wonder how that story evolved and whether it was wrapped up before cancellation? and thanks to @skylark

    • Thank u so much! I love that show and the more I see of it the more I want to find more of it even if it’s just in script form. But that house and especially the room looked like Victoria Winters room from dark shadows lol  this was great find! Thanks
