This show is so elementary-school. Actually, there are shows made for children that are more complex. I’m sure it helps international audiences understand what’s going on when everything is so blunt and schematic.

Carter standing there like a lump as Paris discussed her wedding dreams just shows how little the show regards either character. Neither is written as a full person.

If there are language/cultural barriers, they are more easily overcome when the content is simpler. That’s not a secret. Not that complex series don’t travel at all, but it’s one reason why Hollywood has shifted much of its strategy as markets globalized. That’s not an insult to international audiences. They tend to prefer character-driven content that’s locally produced generally, as Americans do.

-- I really don't agree with your point about international audiences, and I highly doubt Brad Bell is doing any of this for a reason.

-- Carter was like a robot in that scene, and it was hard to watch. Paris wasn't any better, and seeing a real relationship between her and Thomas is difficult.

-- Still, Hope is HILARIOUSLY bad. She's immature and entitled beyond belief. The girl needs shock therapy for being such an idiot.

Are Katie and Carter officially over? I must have missed a break up scene lol or the show just moved on.

The homeless guy dies and yet none of the rest of the week went back to what happened. So much for “BIG simmering murder mystery”

Thomas/Paris is basically a retread of his pairing with Zoe. I agree Hope needs some sort of therapy for all of this LOL.

Some thoughts on the last episode!

- Thomas needs to trim the beard, he is starting to look like one of Tom the homeless guy's pals.

- Didn't Brooke just become CEO? Why is she again downgraded to being Hope's sounding board. Where is the fanfare and drama that the CEO feud was promising?

- Donna looked like a 50 dollar prostitute with this ill-fitting bathing suit, sorry. Wardrobe should know better. And her sticking out her boobs in front of Ridge didn't help the impression.

- Am I the ONLY one that is getting tired of watching Hope cry all the time? Give Annika some bone to act with, stop giving her these pathetic scenes, JESUS!

- Was that a slight dig at Ronn Moss - Brooke to Ridge - "I remember these skimpy bathing suits you used to wear."

LOL!

At least this show always bring on the laughs and the cringe.

It should be re-named - The Cringe And The Tone-Deaf

-- Matt Atkinson is such a good-looking guy, but the grooming on him is bad. Really bad.

-- Brooke is permitted to seem her old powerful self for a couple scenes -- then it's back to sounding like the mother who has no idea how to parent.

Her talk with Hope was filled with "If you had the chance, would you still be with Thomas? Do you still want him? Do you love him?" Why the hell isn't she telling her daughter to move on instead of asking her irrelevant questions?

-- Hope's hysterics will never not be funny to me. She LOVED LOVED LOVED Thomas but didn't want to be engaged to him. Huh? Who thinks this is logical? Has the idiot ever heard of a long engagement?
