That was a very exciting episode.

I mean, I'll suspend my disbelief that Justin has been carrying around that letter for a year, including in his tuxedo, but I guess they established that fact last week.  And, it's a bit odd that everyone just instantly believes Fiona, and they're willing to give Xander the estate, based only the word of a woman that they've never met.

I actually thought the amount of exposition that they got through in one episode, while maintaining some organic conversational style, was remarkable.  Maggie went through her entire marriage to Victor.  Xander and his mother reviewed their entire history.  And someone even ate Chanel's cake.

I think it is weird that Gabi went to visit Will and Sonny, but there is no interaction between them the next day when he arrived for the wedding.  Like, why wouldn't they fly back together?

I thought Xander's Mother's name was going to be closer to Angelica, in order to explain the signature.  And I thought Xander's name was Alexandros (I may have misheard her call him Alexander), but those are trivial facts.

The episode was ok. Brady and Ava and too much Leo ruined the episode.

Robert Scott Wilson needs acting lessons. He sucks!

It was great seeing Sonny, Paul and Andrew.

@wingwalker

Colton Little mentioned in an interview recently that Andrew realizes that a commitment to relationship might not be as important as other things.

I enjoyed the episode.  It was good.  Echoing what @AbcNbc247 said about it being rushed.  It seems it takes us forever to get to a climax of a story on Days and everything happens jam packed into one episode when this could have played out for a week.

I like Fiona so far.  Just immediately interrupting the wedding and exposing the secret lol.  A person arriving late would just quietly walk in take a seat. Not stroll down the aisle and ask everything about everyone in the middle of a ceremony.  Only on soaps!

Way too much Leo.  I guess Paul/Andrew might be in for some tension.  I always thought it was strange Andrew covered for Theresa so easily, but we also don't know very much about their relationship as siblings

I don't know how Brady can casually drink in the middle of the Pub.  EVERYONE in town walks in there daily and the Brady family owns the joint.  You would think he would get a hotel or go home and lock himself in a room instead drinking obvious martinis in public.

I had the same question. Plus it's a missed opportunity. I'd be OK with them ultimately making up or ultimately being at odds, but their journey to either of those points could have been interesting.

Well tbf, that’s just a normal reaction when Leo is around

I actually wouldn’t mind a Sonny/Paul/Andrew triangle though or Will coming back to make it a quad, but I haven’t heard anything that suggested that.

I was hoping to see if Paulson had chemistry today, but of course we couldn’t have that.

Interesting

Maybe some other people on the writing team need to be shown the door as well.

I hate when they try to squeeze multiple episodes of drama into one. It ruins it and it practically diminishes everything that we’ve seen up until this point. I don’t get it. It can’t be because of episode guarantees or set usage or something.

And yeah, Justin definitely deserved a massive apology.

Btw....since you're a longtime viewer...of the four male gay characters are any related?

By the four I mean Will, Sonny, Paul and Andrew.

Days can flush Leo down the toilet with Carlivati gone.

Will and Andrew are cousins… so I wouldn’t mind seeing them beat the holy hell out of each other in the Brady Pub over Paul or Sonny

And Will and Paul aren’t blood related, but in a way, they’re still Uncle and Nephew so idk.

As for Leo, I’m hoping and praying every day that we hear that the new writers are writing him out for good.

Thank you!

Thank you!

See this soap writes itself yet Ron Carlivati kept writing sh!t!

They could easily pair Andrew and Sonny with Will seething.

But do Will and Andrew even know of each other? Did they have scenes together back in the day?

I could see the gay cousins fighting over Sonny.

I’m sure they know each other, but I’m also pretty sure they’ve never had any scenes together. Kim and her kids had already left Salem by the time Will was born.

And Beyond Salem was the first time we’d seen Andrew since the 90s

About the letter.

Konstantin said they made a full duplicate minus the signature. Nothing had to be changed as both babies had the same name. Fiona said today only Victor and Titus used Alexandros.

I assume the will itself then named Alexander Kiriakis just no clarity on which one. Kind of clever if they were more clear on it.

    • A new day in Salem… and a new day for Days.  I like the way everybody found out and absorbed the news about John’s death, and how they all eventually found their way to Marlena’s to offer their condolences. I’m not particularly sure why they waited until the next day to tell everybody but I don’t really mind it.  We finally got Roman’s perspective! His scenes with Kayla were one of the best parts of today. I’m glad that Roman is thankful for everything that John did for his kids. I agree with posters who said that he should’ve had a scene like this with John, but I’m happy we got this at least.  Julie was used very well today too. She’s definitely the best person for Marlena to have scenes with at the moment. Hopefully, Julie continues to be there for her. And yes, I totally agree with Marlena and Belle sending EJ away when he came to the apartment. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to his and Belle’s relationship in the aftermath of all this. And, while I enjoyed most of Brady and Kristen’s scenes, I still think the ship has sailed for them. Hopefully, the aftermath of John’s death causes Brady to finally end this thing with her once and for all.  And, I see a lot of people were wearing some kind of shade of purple today.

    • Wow, I love that current and former actors are participating in this. I barely recognize Staci Greason! She looks fine, just very different. But I will be happy to hear anecdotes from her. I shipped RoJohn and Isabella hard back in the day, and I sobbed buckets in my dorm room at college when Izzy B passed. Honestly, I'm interested in everyone's stories. Drake seemed like he was well loved among the cast.
    • When she first appeared, I was sure she was setting Tyrell up for a prank. She was too much of a manic pixie dream girl- I wasn't surprised Tyrell also became suspicious. Now I'm not so sure. If Jessica genuinely likes Tyrell, it seems like a missed opportunity to not have started her out as a bully, then we see her gradually catch feelings for Tyrell.  The McBrides are definitely the "C" family of BTG. They always get last priority. There have been a few times where the Doug/Vanessa/Joey characters reference off screen conversations which seem too important to not show us. Like when Doug thanked Joey for giving him extra time to pay off the loan. When did that happen? Or when we abruptly moved from Vanessa/Joey at Uptown to Vanessa/Doug in the hotel room. The McBrides don't even have their own set - even though Vanessa is a realtor. It's a shame because I am a fan of the characters and actors.

I am also adjusting to KR as Ted but I feel that AM and MJ had way more chemistry as father and daughter than AM and KR. We saw Eva dream of having a real relationship with MJ's version of Ted for months so it's a bit of a bummer not to have that payoff with the original actor except for those scenes in MJ's last episode.  Something I noticed about Eva today is how she takes genuine delight in being a schemer. As badly as she wants to be a Richardson, she still has so much of her mom in her. It was jarring seeing her earnestly promise to steer clear of Leslie in her scene with Ted, then immediately switch attitudes when her mom showed up.  I'm very surprised with how quickly the accident story has been moving along. I was sure that it would be months if not years before people figured out it was Leslie on the motorcycle, not to mention responsible for the potassium overdose. I'm looking forward to seeing how MVJ and Guza avoid writing Leslie into a corner.  Finally, I have been loving the Articulettes story. Bonita Brisker was just the right amount of OTT - remember Sharon is supposed to be even more angry than Tracy is. If Sharon didn't come in swinging, people would say she fell flat. The way Sharon and Tracy describe the breakup is so Supremes-meet-Original Recipe Destiny's Child. I get the sense that MVJ is re-writing the Return to Love Tour as a roman a clef, and I love it. I'm looking forward to finding out what the secret they share is. If Dante Green is as shady as Berry Gordy was, it's something dark. If/when they go through with the reunion, I expect Dante to show up and claim to own the Articulettes trademark in a Lou Pearlman-esque twist.
    • Other than hanging out with Liz, all of Lucky's stories have been stalled out or dropped; the relationship with his son; his wanderlust. He hasn't been involved in any of the action/adventure or con artist stuff. I don't think he's even had a scene with Sidwell since the latter came to town. He's a real after thought. I doubt he's long for the show.

    • I started a separate thread for the same tribute, but of course it can be discussed wherever. doesn't matter where. Fyi  Jason Cook, Staci Greason, and Eileen Davidson will be there as well as Reckell and some of the current cast Thread for Live tribute to Drake https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/68987-days-currentformer-actors-live-video-tribute-for-drake-hogestyn
    • Seeing Nicole and Martin together reminds me of watching Alice with Mickey Horton in the 90s and 00s. The seem more like peers than mother and son.  The younger half of the cast (35ish and below) is playing younger, and the older half (35+) is playing older.
