Chris Whitesell, Leah Laiman, Lisa Connor, Charlotte Gibson, Paula Cwikly

I cannot believe they let Jones get away...and so quickly!

Whitesell, Laiman, Connor, Cwikly...the show can get rid of them. Gibson, entirely not familar with her work.

Random but interesting: AMC and GH recently ditched the writers' room in favor of teleconferencing (OLTL did so last year already). Now ATWT and GL are the only soaps still doing the traditional writers' room thing. This came up when I was talking to a pal and I mentioned the possibility of Nancy Curlee returning to GL post-MADD. She said no, because she and Stephen live in Virginia now (and ABC allowing their BDWs to live wherever they want now is what enabled Stephen to join AMC in the first place)

She also told me that Demorest and Guza hate each other...bad!!! I want to get some followup on that. But it makes sense. Things must've been really bad at GH to make Eleanor Labine and Demorest flee from GH and jump to AW...which was on death's door by then.

It's a shame about Cascio. I'd like to see her return to AMC when McTavish goes.

ATWT should've gotten rid of Whitesell or Laiman to make room for Sheffer.

Oh....that's interesting about Demorest/Guza. Wonder what happened. LOL at them jumping to AW. Things did go downhill for GH in 1999 with no Demorest though.

Thanks for the tibit, Britney. LOL

I've been predicting a BDW would get the axe since Chris Van Effen being listed for multiple episodes (though he wasn't listed today).

No surprise there. Griffith is the best SW ATWT has from what people have been saying.

Scott Sickles wrote today's OLTL script. Apparently, he's a playwright and Patricia O'Connell (Mrs. Bigelow) was in a play of his.

And it looks like B&E are gone because Nipkow has been script editor for over 2 weeks now.

    • And sadly I think that’s the trivia Both Jeanne Cooper and Eric Braeden went with for years and years. Lol
    • But people were hating so bad on amc and the final year and the ratings sucked. Business wise they made the right call. Oltl who even gained some ratings back and weren’t they higher as GH at one point is a decision and never understood.
    • Ann Williams was the first Maggie Powers on The Doctors but left to have a baby. Maggie was successfully recast so Ann picked up the role of Eunice (Jo's sister on Search for Tomorrow) and played that role for 10 years before being killed of in 1976. That led to her role of Margo on EON.
    • Looking at those totals it seems most contract actors are on a 1 or 2 week average guarantee. I assume contracts are still operating on 13 week cycles so you would have to know the particular actors contract starting date to work out their guarantee. The question remains as to what actors listed as contract are actually recurring? Bryton ?
    • Yep, that scene was at the conclusion of the Derek Thurston vs George Packard storyline, when Kay decided neither of them should run Chancellor.  By the time she put Victor in charge, Victor had been on the show for months & months with his Rolls Royce, his ranch, and Newman Enterprises.  SONY released some Y&R "trivia cards" in the late 1980s, and one of the questions was "who brought Victor Newman to Genoa City?" The answer on the back of the card is "Kay Thurston, to run Chancellor Industries", and it's a wrong answer lol.
    • I think someone said it did exist, but I can't remember.
    • The bit with the scarf reminds me of the fabled stuffed animal scene with Rick and Phillip. (That wasn't debunked, was it?)
    • Ohh, interesting. I instantly gravitated towards her in that episode. Of course I'm already hooked and want to know why she was trying to poison that older lady, but then how did the older lady know to switch the mugs so Susan drank her own poison...  but I have too many timelines I'm watching right now haha.  Oh, Bolger is definitely hot. I didn't realize he was on GL haha. I knew him from OLTL and other primetime stuff.
    • This is a effin shame. Eff Trump and eff the bastards that enable him.
    • I 100% agree but I think this is due to how the show is structured. It's a one family show which means there are no people in her age range that could be used as friends or contemporaries of her. The show definitely needs a second main family. I am glad someone finally said this. Especially now that the cast is gelling in their roles, he stands out like a sore thumb. No energy, no chemistry with anybody. He is just there.  I thought that was odd as well! The previous scene would've worked better as a tag for the credits.
