Halee, that is a freakin' hilarious statement... and dead-on accurate. hahahahaha.

Anyone else a little ticked that the :10 second video clip they showed from the show was TG and MB, NOT JE?!?!? WTF was that all about!?!?!? God forbid they should show a picture of Jane during primetime.. better to show aging studmuffin, Maurice. Gagme. Pul-eesse. Interesting that most of the nominees were vets.....

Jane wasn't at the emmys, was she? Anyone spot her in the audience?

(I didn't watch)

Yeah that was kind of an easy call, huh?

I don't know if anyone else wants this. It is basically the same clip Ms Q linked for YT. I just made a downloadable version for Hooked because of her irrational (well maybe not) internet Apocalypse fear that all her favorite web clips will someday vanish.

Lainey, at first that bothered me, but then this morning, I went through the transcript of the December 10th episode, and that specific scene with Maurice was the one where he had material better suited for an Emmy clip IMO. The December 10th LuNacy scenes belonged to Jane (WHY DO I BOTHER and the speech about the 1960s rebels). Anyway, I'm not sure if they highlighted Tony's ability as much as the scenes with Maurice did - even if Jane makes Tony better. ;)

And no, no Jane Elliot. I am assuming the last time she attended was 1993 for her nomination in 1992...unless she appeared at the 96 ceremony...

If anyone is interested, this seems to be an accurate list of who didn't attend (from SoapDish posters):

Steve Burton

Jason Thompson

Greg Vaughan

Maurice Benard

Kelly Monaco

Nancy Lee Grahn

Jane Elliott

Ingo Rademacher

Leslie Charleson

John Ingle

Jacklyn Zeman

Bruce Weitz

halee, thanks for the downloadable version! And LOL about hooked's fear! hooked, we miss you!!!

Hi ladies, I haven't posted in a very long time! I hope everyone is well. I wasn't a big fan of TG's outfit, either. I thought he looked a little rediculous in the leather. And I will throw up if Jennifer Landon wins Best Younger Actress ONE MORE TIME. This is getting a little insane. In no way do i believe that she was better than Kirsten Storms! I hope everyone is having a great summer so far....

Hmm, does this mean we just see the behind of Luke like we do of Laura whenever someone visits her? Or do we find out via a throw-a-way line that Luke received a visit from Anthony? Whatever happens, I am hoping this means we get Tracy onscreen. If she is, it will be the 4th year in a row that she's been on the 4th of July. I don't think that can be said about any other date. :o

EDIT: So, this is actually a repeat episode. Oops. There goes our 4 year record - Haha. Anyway, I guess all the speculation below is kind of pointless with regards to AZ/Luke, but GH could still blow the HS up this summer if they wanted to...

I wonder if those rumors about the Haunted Star going boom that day are true? I could sort of see Anthony paying Luke a visit and that setting up a montage with the casino going up in flames. It would, dare I say, be kind of awesome if Tracy was inside for whatever reason, but GH never puts her in serious danger... If anyone is inside, it's Lulu, and there's your Friday cliffhanger. (as IF Lulu has NEVER been hurt/rescued before...oy). But, anyway, thanks for the spoiler!

And missjane, I hope you are doing well too. I miss ya!

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

OMG, I loved his little thank you speech. Yay! :D

Wish JE had been there, but we all know that's not really her style. I would have loved to have seen her dress.

And I totally agree that it was lame that they didn't show a LuNacy clip.

Yep, same day. For whatever reason, Cable Guide seems to think that Tracy making an appeal to Johnny sounds more like Must See TV instead of a Tracy and Monica scene. I so hope the

And THANKS halee for the TrAsh!!! They were soooo good together. So, so good. *hugs the TrAsh* Sorry my LuNatics. But something's gotta fill the gap with Luke gone 'til September, and I have deemed TrAsh worthy (for myself, anyway).

BTW, totally random, but my "And the Emmy goes too..." is bugging me. You all probably realized, but that should be "to." Just pretend I meant, "And the Emmy goes tooooooooo..." Hey, maybe that IS what I meant. LOL.

ILoveTracyQ, are you out there? I am wondering what you thought of TG's comments about Jane.

Finally, I was going through some older Emmy stuff, but not very old, just like 2004, and I know I've mentioned it before (maybe here or on one of the old SON's), but I still think it's so cute the way Jane congratulated Scott on his first Emmy nomination: "Was Mama right or was Mama right?" Aww. Scott then credited her for helping him earn the nomination but said the win should go to Chad Brannon. And IIRC, Chad did win that year. Anyway, just wanted to share (and get us talking again). It's kind of been a slow day around here. :D

It's the same spoilers!

Spoilers:

**Thur, June 26 Maxie meets the new doc, Dr. Matt Hunter. Let's call it Clash at first site. Nadine takes care of new patients at the new clinic. Monica and Tracy visit, Tracy needs advice. Tracy visits Johnny in jail. Robin explains why she doesn't want Patrick involved in the baby's life. Jerry promises Alexis he will take care of Anthony. Ric tries to convince Claudia to betray Johnny. Tracy appeals to Johnny.

**Fri, June 27 Anna returns. She comes to take care of Robin, but Robin feels smothered by the grandmama to be. Patrick seeks an attorney's advice about his parental rights. Sonny gives Jax something to think about when offering some very unsettling advice. Although Tracy gave it her best shot, Lulu refuses to let go of Johnny. Sonny asks Carly some VERY tough questions, she answers by spinning a tale. Has Alexis awaken a monster?

    • I don't think he ever gained much traction on GH. He should have stayed with The Doctors. Was Mark just a toned-down version of Nick? Were they basically the same character?
    • All I can think of is if a lot of big names were leaving around that time she wanted him back as a stopgap, although I have never seen any real evidence that he was popular with GH viewers.
    • I loved watching Shanice hand Leslie her ass and finally shutting her up. It was so good. I also love Martin & Smitty's family.  Anita has to have some sort of plan giving Leslie the tickets to mail for Winterfest. She has to be setting her up for a fall. It's pretty obvious to me Vernon is not cheating with Sharon. I think Sharon is helping him with his terrible singing voice for Winterfest. I still believe Bill & Dani are endgame but I love Dani & Andre too. I am definitely enjoying this story. And making Hayley a black widow is a nice twist.
    • Sorry for the spam. Wasn't sure where to put this, it's from Tony Geary's husband's IG. Tony watching Genie and Maurice on Mo's show.
    • This show is really trundling along BTW. When is someone going to show up to slit Beastmaster's throat or crack the whip on metrosexual Sidwell? (BTW, openly presenting this cheery bon vivant as casually bisexual would at least be something vaguely diverting.) At least kill Brennan by year's end. I'm bored.
    • She told Vanessa to "DOUBLE her offer" on the Jarvis house.  The Jarvis family accepted the doubled price.  Assuming the house has an appraised value of $2,000,000, she's theoretically paid the Jarvis family $4,000,000 for the house.  The bank would loan Leslie 80% of the appraised value ($1,600,000), and Leslie had to pay the balance with cash at closing --- $2,200,000.  She only had ONE million.  Where the hell did she get the rest?!  And now she's got contractors working on the house all day & half the night.  Who's paying THEM?  I keep thinking all this will crash around her.  Either that or the writers have absolutely no idea the limits of a million dollars.  Sounds like a "lot of money", but it obviously ain't when we look at Leslie's spending since she got that million dollar check in August.

    • Vernon is an idiot. Why would he have Sharon in the same hotel that Leslie is staying at?
    • Yes, that out of the blue return was odd. Maybe GG found a forgotten clause in the contract he signed when he was wooed to ABC and they were forced to take him back! Like George Reinholt he talked about the contract that promised him primetime roles. But it was loaded in the networks favor. I think it was Gloria Loring that re-signed at Days on the promise of primetime opportunities, but that was all it was- she was put up for guest spots and TV movies but not necessarily guaranteed that she get the role.
    • I still am baffled by why Monty brought back stunt hire Gerald Gordon in the early '80s out of nowhere for like a year. I haven't found anyone who can come up with a thing he did in that second stint of note.
