Hey, remos and addie. Just wanted you to know that I didn't abandon you at SOC. I couldn't find you. Maybe it's getting too late for my brain cells to process properly. Yeah, it's not computing anymore for me tonight. Think I'll call it a night. It's a night! Talk to you tomorrow. :)

Hey guys. Nothing new today except a spoiler that Tracy is jealous of Luke/Anna (nothing new).

Here is my thought for the morning....perhaps we should try to write a letter for Tracy now--to ask for some storyline for her while Luke is gone. Maybe if Guza gets some letters about that, it will maybe help give her a little more airtime.

I think we should include that we would like to see her interact with other characters, or have some corporate story (yeah right). Hell even Lulu propping is better than nothing. I would like to see her and Sam have some interaction if Sam is running the HS this summer. Maybe some Tracy/Monica.

Just a thought! But it couldn't hurt. Also a quick letter to Jane to help her mail counts!

Am so dreading Tracy's role in the Anna/Luke mini-plot. The jealous, nagging wife role does NOT suit her.

TnL, nice job. I can't wait to read the next part.

remos, we need your little scenes on GH. Love the humor in the story, especially about Luke using up his quota. And SQUEE to all the ways he loves her.

Nice work on the other site, everyone. I was prompted to check ABC.com after that, and it lists Lucky as a friend to Tracy. Too cute. Lulu is a foe. But then it says Emily is a friend too, so I don't know. LOL. And of course, the act of tricking an inebriated woman into marriage is a BAD/UGLY thing, but... the events that followed weren't so bad... And on the topic of BAD/UGLY, why wasn't the rape mentioned, or are we supposed to forget that?

EDIT: Episode Count Thread: http://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/index.php?showtopic=25974

Last year, as of May 1st, Jane Elliot was in 12 more episodes than this year. She's just been in 27 out of 86 episodes so far. Ick.

My sister set this up for everyone:

http://www.4shared.com/dir/6849232/ddb1921...artermaine.html

I'm going to put all of my Tracy/Jane Elliot clips in here. You'll also be able to view the clips before you download and be able to download all of the clips. Yay!

Had fun in the BR last night, and messing with those LnL folks over at SOC. Some of those people just need to learn to get over it

Opening trailer is opening credits, right?

GH updated it semi-recently, and I noticed Edward is right before Luke. As it stands, LOGAN - TRACY - MICHAEL makes about oh, I don't ZERO sense. But it's kind of neat how the remaining Q's are at the end, not mixed in the middle - end like before, where they can be easily forgotten.

And it is to stupid to wonder why GH changed the opening but kept Natalia in? Glad that Stuart is there too, even though he hasn't been on contract in forever.

Okay I just finally watched yesterday's episode.

I must disagree with just the "ah so so" reviews from yesterday. I thought actually that the first scene they shared yesterday was probably one of the most honest and revealing Tracy has ever had with Luke. I thought that it also was one of the most honest looks at their relationship workings that the audience has been given. She revealed how much it meant to her that she knows he loves her and that she knows how hard it was for him to say that. Also, she said again how she loves him back. I loved the "favorite mistake" and him saying it was a match made in hell, but a "glorious match". I liked how he said glorious. She also explained to him as well as the audience how she she tries her hardest to accept him for who he is, and that there are a hundred reasons why she could divorce him, but she sticks with him and hangs tough. As well as her making it known that to outsiders, they might not understand it, but the two of them know better why they are still married.

I really do think this scene was included to explain why Luke will vanish once again this summer, and why Tracy won't divorce him. Clearly they are setting up the mob disappearance.

As much as it was annoying that Sonny was interrupting them, I did like that he told Luke that his wife was right. It took me a sec to realize that what Tracy said to him was that they should take out a life insurance policy cause she dind't want to throw money into his grave after his dead body. From the recaps I thought she was just throwing around her $ to control him again. That wasn't what she was saying at all.

The Anna scenes I really feel are going to be no big deal. I am sure Tracy is going to look like a jealous wife, but then again Robin is going to be really pissed off too. Anna and luke are going to be acting like fools. We already know Tracy isn't going to divorce him over infidelity....

Besides, FH is only on for another couple episodes. And I really think the luke stuff is only going to be maybe end fo today and Monday.

Let's just think of it this way, nothing has ever been as bad as we think it is going to be. I am sure this is Guza's idea of playing something for laughs. At least we know Luke tries to turn on the charm to Tracy the following week.

Granted the bakc and forth crap is annoying, but let's get real---there is no happy couple for long in a soap. Lunacy is going on 3 years--almost unheard of in soapworld--especially in GH world!!!

Addie--Thanks so much for doing that. It is wonderful we can have access to your library of tracy files!!!

From what I understand, if they are contractually still on the show they will remain in the credits. I think neither DC or NL contract is up yet. It is easier to edit one shot out (hence the michael alone I believe). I don't know why SD is still in there. Strange time to update the opening for sure.

I will leave the recapping up to remos, but other than a cute line in the near-beginning "let's make love - not war," the LuNacy has consisted of Tracy nagging, and Luke wanting to live life how he wants, 'cause clearly, we haven't done enough of that.

We're at the half-way point. A lot of Luke with Anthony, Lulu, a little bit of Logan, and then 2 scenes of LuNacy. 1 of them alone. And 1 of them with Anna.

After minimal interaction with Luke and Anna, Tracy leaves in disgust, saying she will be home LATE. Anna notices that Tracy is mad. Luke says she's always mad, but that's one of her charms. Anna tells Luke why she's there, and they get the roulette table ready. <shrug>

Okay so...so far that doesn't seem so horrible. Tracy is going to be home late. So maybe when she gets home and sees he isn't there, she goes to Robin on Monday?

You know---I know the nagging is getting old, but at least Luke is not ragging on her. Not cutting her down to Anna.

And you know...bottom line---THEY ARE ON! And Tracy has been on four days in a row this week. When is the last time we can say that happened? I think for sure not since when---I can't even remember. I think the most during the Heart attack storyline was 3 days. Maybe one week before thanksgiving maybe ? Even then I dont' think so. And we know she is on Monday. I am at least looking forward to the Tracy/Robin/Patrick being in a scene together and then with Anna/Luke. I think I am just easy at this point.

Okay so...

Remos--Loved confessions the 17th!!!

Tracynluke--I like Tracy getting grabbed in your fic and can't wait to see where you take it.

    • SO good!  I agree. Classic soap opera and it was a cliffhanger I've been craving for weeks now.  First time in a while that I can't wait for tomorrow's episode!
    • -- I was OK with the music. I think the first 5 minutes of the first episode spoiled us -- we really thought we were going to get "real music" a lot more often. Instead, we got some budget money for the opening scene, and that was it. -- I'd like music to be used more often, but I'll put that on production and not on the musicc supervisor. I think they've intentionally dialed down the music on this show. -- Editing? I still have major problems with it. This episode was SO good, but almost every fade to commercial was off or bad. I just don't get it. That, too, is intentional, but I have no idea what they're going for. It isn't working.
    • I’m up to Jan. 8, 1996 and into a new year! This NYE masquerade ball has been outstanding soap opera! The jig is up with Marian. Brent stages a dummy in a wig at his apartment, making Cleary think Marian is alone at home all night, but Brent is really dressed up at the ball and stalking Lucy and AM. Meanwhile, Frank is at the docks and finds a wrapped floating body (Nadine) and calls it in.  At the same time, unlucky for Brent, Susan just woke up from her coma and remembers Marian attacking her and tells Nick everything! Nick immediately calls Frank to tell him the news. Back at the party, Brent calls AM, pretending to be Marian, and lures him to her apartment just as Frank and Clearly storm in and they all find the dummy in a wig. Brent, now dressed as Zoro like AM was at the party, grabs Lucy, kisses her, she realizes it isn’t AM, and Brent attacks and drugs her unconscious!  I can’t wait to see how this turns out… except for… In this moment, in the middle of the ball, a new actor takes over for Brent. So the episode starts with Brent attacking Lucy, but you have the voiceover man say “Today, the role of Brent Lawrence will be played by…” - taking you out of the scene, wondering what in the world happened. I know what happened, but I’m sure if I were watching live in the 90s without internet, I would be gasping. I had no idea the switchover happened mid-ball where you have the entire cast dressed up, working long hours. I have to imagine the stress of it all made Frank Beaty have his mental break, but I wonder how the rest of the cast/crew dealt with it given it happened right in the middle of this ball that everyone was at for multiple episodes. Did they have to delay the filming schedule to find a new actor? The actor must have had zero time to prep for the role, although I’m assuming we won’t see Marian anymore now that she’s been known to be a fake. I want to know all the juicy BTS details haha. But now, Rick caught wind that the police are trying to find Marian at the party and he starts to put the pieces together, given that he’s the only one that knows Marian is really a man. He walks outside and tells AM, Buzz, Frank and the police that Marian is a man and chaos ensues. Also, Nick finally proposes to Susan in the hospital in a very sweet scene. I didn’t enjoy Susan or this pairing in the beginning, but they’ve really grown on me and I really like how tough Susan is. She was the only one who really caught onto Marian and stood up to her. Meanwhile, Amanda locks Blake in a bathroom and ends up pulling Roger into a kiss after midnight, which Blake sees after she finally escapes. The girls fight, slap each other, throw food and pies… what a fun time haha. Reva the diva is in full force and her sweet milkmaid Goshen personality went out the door for good. She makes Alan go to the ball with her, dressed in a sexy red dress, and makes quite a scene. She kisses Josh, they fight in front of the whole party, she breaks down, they scream at each other, poor Annie runs off crying and Reva leaves the party and tries to seduce Alan to make herself feel better. Reva’s performance in front of everyone was pure Reva and honestly the Reva I prefer.  I was so tired of Amish Reva for 7 months, so this is a breath of fresh air. I don’t think it all came together perfectly, and I don’t think Reva nor Josh have made good decisions, but at least the story is now moving forward and I have the old Reva back, for better or worse haha. I’m a little disappointed in Bridget. She’s very quick to crush on Hart again and she’s almost pining after him at this ball. Vanessa of course isn’t that happy with what she’s seeing. Matt tries to reassure her. Speaking of, Matt is looking really good at this ball - the mustache and hat really works for him (sorry, PJ haha).  Another point about Bridget that bothers me, which is the writers’ fault, but she’s been totally dropped from the Lucy/Brent storyline. They were basically best friends and she was involved in the beginning, but they completely replaced her friend role with Susan/Nick, which I get because she has HIV/AIDs and Bridget may not have worked as well when the story continued along that path.  But still, I wish we could see Bridget checking in on her or be worried for her (same with David). Finally, a little story is brewing with Griffin and Gilly’s mom, Vivian. She just confronted him and asks if he’s planning to do to her daughter what he did to her long ago.  Interesting…
    • AMC 2.0 was fantastic; it was strong and it was bold and pushed some boundaries with how it told the Cassandra storyline. When Y&R did it soon after, you could tell how watered down it was on Y&R.
    • I am actually surprised so many people think Lulu is way out of line.  I think it's more nuanced. Yes, it was BLQ choice to give the baby up for adoption and she shouldn't be shamed for that.  At the same time I do think it does directly affect Lulu's family because it is Rocco's brother and she's still in love with Dante.  So I can sort of see her moral dilemma there.
    • I think AMC 2.0 was pretty strong throughout, frankly. I still consider it the best soap of the 2010s. I was not against Dixie and literally anyone but Tad, lol. Dr. Anders was interesting but he also came off almost cartoonishly remote/on the spectrum at times re: his grief over his wife or whatever. It didn't get much chance to get off the ground, and they clearly planned to break the emergency glass and bring back MEK/Tad per the final episode.
    • I believe so, yes. But I think that was more a case of hiring someone who was then a popular soap name (much like bringing over Bernard Grant from GL a few years later). To my limited knowledge amnesiac Tom Edwards was a far cry from Bill Matthews, and he didn't last long.
    • As long as I'm not hearing the same redneck guitar musical sting Days has been using the GWB administration, I'm okay with BTG's evolving music situation.
    • Bo/Billie are in Night Sins but not together.  She's bantering with Jack about the manuscript and Bo is in love with Carly. He stops Carly from taking off with Lawrence and Nikki on a plane when he solves Lisanne's murder. Winter Heat is Bo/Billie focused.  Along with Vivian/Laura and Carrie and Austin I believe. Yeah, Bo/Carly and John/Isabella weren't exactly my thing so that's probably why I didn't love it.
