Is a double wedding necessary? Ron is so predictable

Save budget where you can!  Those 5 chairs and 2 extras aren't cheap!

I mean, who is coming to this wedding... we have 8 guests allowed now given the restrictions

Maggie, Justin, Bonnie, Sonny, Andrew, Paul, Shane and Fiona. Who the heck was Sarah inviting?

Oops.  I probably remembered it wrong and don't feel like looking it up.  I'll take your word for it.

Doesn't change the fact I find Sarah unbearable and that there are reasons Theresa dislikes Xander.

Agreed.  Another set of characters that should hate one another, but the whole conversation ended up being surprisingly touching.

I loved Nicole and Xander. They used to have talks like this way back, like when he was holding her captive in Greece, they have always had an odd relationship

Why does Theresa dislike Xander though? Because he busted up her wedding to Brady? That is the only bad thing he ever did to her, and he did that because he had just escaped from prison where he had been falsely labelled a rapist, by her.  And I thought that they were even once he rescued her from El Fideo and she kept her word about telling Victor he saved her. I do remember her saying she was holding the wedding thing against him still last year when she was still Jen Lilley, so it is probably that.

While having a secret exposed at a double wedding feels like classically DAYS, I am reminded that less than a year ago Gabi and Stefan had a double wedding with Dimitri and Gwen, ending with similar results.  So, I agree with the sentiment that it is a little played out.

Spoiler

Also, I'm sadly anticipating Nicole's exit.  Yet I don't love the idea that we're 3–4 weeks out, and no foundation for her exit storyline has been set.  I get that the recent Xander and EJ scenes resolved a lot of conflict and have left the character at peace.  However, it would be nice if her job at The Spectator, as well as the recent sighting of Abby, created some mystery surrounding her exit, that could potentially leave an open door for the character.

Also, am I correct?  Jack came for a visit with no specific reason in mind. Chad and Julie left town to go to the bank.  They returned, and he left again.  What was the purpose of that?  It created zero conflict that wasn't replicated by having the kids overhear them talking about Abby.

Xander did not force Theresa to be a slave and drug mule. She sent him to prison on a fake rape charge, then she ended up going to Mexico with her ex the drug lord to protect Tate and Brady. Xander happened upon her there and negotiated her release in exchange for her putting a good word in with Victor. They had to leave Chloe behind because El Fideo was obsessed with her. He assumed Xander was going to kill Theresa so let him take her away.

Man, I forgot most of that. It's hard to visualize when all of it likely took place in the same blue room, just with the trash can moved to the opposite side in some settings.

Did Jack come because of Abby's journal that was discovered? I thought that was the catalyst, and although I'm always happy to see MA, it feels like the kind of info that could've come through an offscreen phone call.

Jack came because it was the anniversary of Abby's death and he wanted to be close to her. At least I think he said that

Sadly, all spoilers I've read so far point to Nicole's exit being abrupt and disappointing

Ah, yeah, that makes sense. Although they bumped up the anniversary of Abby's death -- she originally died in July, and I'm pretty sure they marked the occasion in actual July last year.
