If Dr. Greene is endgame for Leo then Ron won't ruin the family.

Because if he's not the family won't last.

Ron doesn't like Will/Sonny gay versions.

He prefers the Leo gay type.

See ya, Harris. I guess some of us will miss you lol

Character wise, I’m not really sure why Ava can’t just go with him to search for Megan but I guess she needs to be there for the whole Stefan/Gabi thing. Their scenes were really good though and definitely more proof that Steve Burton can play more than just a mindless killing machine.

There were a lot of other good scenes today too. I like the way that Maggie and Alex made peace and how EJ and Nicole discussed her kissing Eric and how it’s being all set up. It’s paving the way for everything to get blown to hell once all the secrets come out.

Tate and Holly were good too. Leo Howard had a chance to flex his acting muscles today and I was impressed. He did play angry pretty well. I’m still not the biggest fan of the whole Romeo and Juliet thing and having Theresa be the primary source of conflict for them, even though I like the suggestion that Tate brought up today, that Theresa’s just compensating for her own mistakes. I still think that Days should let Holly and Tate’s own personal problems and feelings be the primary source of conflict between them. And while that’s happening, Theresa (and especially Sophia) could take advantage of the situation somehow.

There's something funny about these SORAS kids claiming abandonment issues.  I mean, Theresa's not a good Mom.  But, she didn't intend for him to magically evolve into a surly teen when she sent him off to whatever magical boarding school does this to soap opera children!

They're sad because their parents missed years of life.  Well, maybe if they hadn't spontaneously developed, their parents could've visited more often.

That actually would be fine if Theresa wasn't acting like a massive hypocrite and still committing all sorts of crimes and concocting horrible schemes to get money. I'm sorry, but today's scenes with Theresa just fell flat for me and I just don't buy that she actually has any love or concern for her son. Even if she does, she obviously loves money more over anything else.

Firstly, people have got to stop talking to Victor's poster (I say poster because it is the cheapest looking portrait in America, bring back Princess Gina to paint something a little more special).  I mean, Alex never shared a scene with Victor, how's he going to know how he would feel about him getting married.

Which brings me to my second point, does Theresa know what Konstantin's plan was for once she married Alex?  Was he going to kill him?  Was she supposed to divorce him right away and get half?  Because an inheritance is not community property, and he acquired it before the marriage, so she has not right to the money, unless he's dead.

Third, last week we were talking about the mixed messages between Tate and Theresa, but now I am actually confused about the relationship between Holly and Nicole.  Today, Holly was asking for Nicole's support and understanding.  But, last month, she was railing at her for loosing so many babies.  I thought they were going to use the rift to explain why Nicole leaves Holly behind in Salem.  But, this made no sense.

Finally, when did we learn that Megan escaped from prison?  The last thing I heard, she was in a maximum security facility after mind-controlling Harris to shoot Gabi.  (EDIT, now I remember she escaped from the hospital with the help of the nutty nurse that held Abe hostage and then went on Rolf's sub - how could I forget the sub that somehow navigates through lakes).

Bye Harris.  If you can't support the woman you love, go find the one that plays with your mind.

I enjoyed all the scenes involving Tate and Holly minus their gag worthy texts. The EJ and Nicole scenes were great too.

The weak link for me was Leo Howard. I didn't think he was that great. Howard being almost 30 is really hurting this story. Also it is ridiculous Tate doesn't understand why his mother is so against Holly.

I am starting to really hate Holly.

I find it hard to swallow that people can't suspend their disbelief when it comes to Tate.  Not only is he a charming young actor, but watching classic soaps, they had guys in their 30s play teens all the time.

I mean, Laurence Lau was 27 when he was cast as high schooler Greg Nelson on AMCKevin McClatchy (Nick) was 32 and Hank Cheyne (Scott) was 28 when they debuted on Another World.

I get that OG Tate looked younger, but we need to move past this well trod territory.

C'mon, Soaps, Leo Howard is just 26, not almost 30. Your rounding up method is mean, especially during Pride month. LOLOL.

But those texts were gag-worthy for sure.  Tate said Holly said Tate gave her the "perfect prom"? And Tate responds "We'll always have tonight"? HUH??? Did I miss something?

A lamer prom I have never seen -- and that's before the whole thing was upended by  Criminal Mom.

I guess the kisses they had in the hotel room counted as perfect prom and the phrase we'll always have tonight.

Howard looks silly at 26 complaining about a prom.

I think it would be interesting if for some reason, Holly ends up taking Theresa’s side once all the secrets come out. That could cause some good problems for her and Tate, especially with Sophia still lurking (hopefully)

And here I am, thinking that was sweet

    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!

    • So, I have been in the hospital all week. I am close to being up to date on my soaps. Now I have to go to the Infusion Ctr daily to get IV antibiotics, for 6 weeks. I am frankly exhausted. A hospital is no place to be when you're sick. Hooked up to machines that go beep beep beep all day & night long. Someone wakes you up every hour on the hour for something, either to stick you with needles or to take your gosh-awful blood pressure for the umpteenth time. So, you don't get any sleep. Now I have a central line, upper right chest. After they "installed" it, I said, I am now Borg. They just stared at me. Apparently scifi is not general knowledge. What happened? I have an infection inside my big toe right foot & it burned the skin on my foot. The burned skin is already better. It was like a bad sunburn. The infection inside the toe is the issue. Oral antibiotics won't even get its attention. So, IV antibiotics plus time.

As Salem bids farewell to John Black on Monday, the "Days" family and fans say a final goodbye to Drake Hogestyn.   From his time as a young man playing baseball in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees to his almost four-decade run as John Black, Drake always did his best. And, while becoming a soap opera icon, he spent almost 40 years at "Days" telling the best stories and taking the younger cast under his wing to make sure they would do their best as well. Thank you, Drake, for the legacy you have left for everyone at "Days." The impact you made on the cast, crew and fans will never be forgotten...and that's a fact.
    • I found an interview with Joseph Breen (Will Jeffries) where he mentions that Reva was put in a coma so Zimmer could go to Hollywood to do a pilot (OMG, if ONLY it had been picked up, LOL) and that Sonni and Josh and Will became a popular with the audience while she was out of commission.  If you want to read the whole thing: https://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=47394 Breen was known for being very candid in interviews, I wish I could find more of them. I seem to recall he made a couple of snarky comments about Zimmer, implying she was not above acting like a diva. Sounded to me like he had a lot of respect for Forbes (who went on to have a very strong and varied career after GL).
    • I was so confused why Devon was prying into Nicks love life and then it clicked and I remembered they’re brother-in-laws. Shows how little I pay attention to this show anymore. I was like uh? Do these two even know each other this well?
    • The Bell soaps, B&B and Y&R: cannot watch. If I went by the last time I did I would have to give them both D- but I really don't think it counts when you're not a daily watcher.  DAYS: B+ (Now this is with the knowledge that for years I have given this show a D- because I've been a fan for too long to give it the F it deserved.) GH: A+ (With Korte driving this bus to me the show is so much better! IMO we just had the best NB in so many years I cannot count!) BTG: A solid (Things I love, a few I do not, nothing I hate, still find it in general remarkable.) As always, thanks for doing this thread. I count it. I always look for it & I always post.
    • Okay, I continue to maintain that what is so good about this particular reveal followed by umbrella storyline is that you can see & understand many different points of view where there is not one bad guy or one 100% right person.  About your stated opinion, that Lois & Gloria did the right thing, you know that this was technically an illegal adoption? For it to have been legal the father, if known, would have to have been informed & have signed off on terminating his own paternal rights. And, of course, it is clear how many people they lied to.  Personally I feel like Lois is going to take the biggest "public" blame with Lulu a close second in the blame category. I am looking forward to a tongue lashing I hope Brook Lynn gives to Gloria. I continue to be more than annoyed with Dante. First his attitude toward Gio with regards to Rocco & a drinking game & its results. Second his attitude toward Lulu. Meanwhile enjoying the show every day!
    • Lois and Gloria did the right thing I feel knowing it was Camila that raised Gio has BL feeling some jealousy No one is saying that Camila was a bad mother to Gio I believe it will be Gio saying that Camila was great to him, thanking Lois and Gloria to get BL to see truth
    • Its realistic for Dani and  true of how the character thinks and operates. We've known her long enough to by that this would be consistent with her past characterizatioin
    • Random takes: - What was even the point of that jeweler guy? Also—Dani was borderline harassing him. - I know I’m probably in the minority here, but I want Jacob and Kat to happen. I need something messy to completely dismantle the Duprees—and Katomas just isn’t cutting it.  - I officially can’t stand Jacob and his wife. Same goes for Anita and Vernon. - Hayley’s corset was just as ugly as it looked uncomfortable. - I genuinely don’t remember when or how Derek and Ashley reconciled—and I’m someone who didn’t even mind their storyline! LMAO. - Tuesday’s episode was a mess. - Dani finding out about Hayley’s pregnancy and immediately thinking, “She’s faking it”—huh?! What writer thought that was a realistic reaction? I get denial, but that leap was absurd. I agree the ‘Leslie Victorious’ moment was way OTT. But hey, at least I wasn’t yawning. The following episode, where she handed over her daughter’s last few belongings was much better. - I can’t with the constant back-and-forth between Orphey Gene’s and the Country Club. I forgot this was such a soap trope, but even back in my loyal viewer days (late ‘90s, early 2000s), it wasn’t this bad. While GH has a ton of beautiful sets, we’re stuck with the same three—and half of them are ugly. Also: it’s been way too long since we had a party, gala, or any kind of event. I know the Richardsons’ anniversary gala (back in late April) has had a big ripple effect, but I was kinda getting used to those large-scale episodes. Fingers crossed they don’t go with Guza.
