Thanks. I looked for them & did not find them on one list & then couldn't find the other list right off & never got back to it. I hadn't thought about them, or the question of the scab writers identity since then, till today when it came up elsewhere.

Another specious rumor bites the dust. Couldn't happen to a more deserving piece of wrong information.

I feel dumb for admitting this, but I just realized that Kristen is not EJ's aunt.  I was wondering why he doesn't refer to her as Aunt Kristen, because Susan is his mother (whom he did not call on Mother's Day, or tell that his baby is alive).  But, then I remembered Susan is just Kristen's doppelgänger, they're not related.  Which I guess makes Kristen his half sister?

From the silly question file, did Lucas fly to Montana in his monk robe, or did he pack it just in case he needed a disguise?

Finally, why does it feel like there's no exit story in mind for Theresa?  I thought she was temporary, but it feels like even when the fraud is uncovered, she's got a viable reason to stay in Salem with Tate.

I mean, Harris's exit story seems to be heavily foreshadowed, meanwhile Theresa and her wig feel like they'll be around all summer.

Well, it's still pretty early, but I have a feeling that as the summer progresses, we'll get a better idea of what her exit story is ultimately going to be. And I still think that Tate is going to be extremely upset with Theresa and he's going to decide to cut all ties with her altogether along with Brady, Alex, Maggie, and possibly the large majority of the cast. But if for some inexplicable reason Theresa does end up sticking around beyond the summer, she might end up staying near the DiMera orbit especially if she remains a villain for the foreseeable future, (probably forever). She's going to need some allies especially if she's going to possibly lose Brady and Tate forever anyway. On the other hand, I hope the rest of the good people of Salem are on to whatever future schemes she has and they don't somehow get dumbed out just to give her an unfair advantage, but you never know with Ron though...

Speaking of which, what do we know with Ron, our returning fearless leader?

Rape means never having to say you're sorry.

He never met a serial killer he didn't want to redeem.

Leo Stark has an actual key to the city.

Mission Impossible style latex masks are forever!

When it comes to humor, his taste is all in his mouth.

Is eternally passionate about General Hospital, NOT Days of our Lives.

Who wants in?

Of course Leo would be the first thing we saw in Ron’s first episode back

Too bad Eric or EJ didn’t beat the crap out of him. I’m not really sure about all the scenes either. Him being all sincere with Eric but all scheming with EJ is one of the many, many reasons why fans hate him.

The Nicole/Sloan showdown was really good though. I was glad to see Nicole finally let loose and I was also glad that Sloan threw Nicole’s past in her face. I’m Team Nicole but that was something that really needed to be brought up. And, the punch actually looked a lot better than it did in the promo.

As for Bobby-Everett, I guess we’re finally seeing what the original plan was for him. I just wish that it hadn’t contradicted anything that we’ve already seen onscreen. Plus, his dream at the beginning didn’t really seem to fit in with the rest of his scenes, though Blake Berris did look hot lol guess Ron had to make sure that fans knew he was back

I guess, but it was the only thing I could think of to keep him on the canvas

Ethics aside, it is intriguing to think that the scabs had to come up with a BobEtte story with just the scraps of character background that had been established between his debut on 10/30 and when RonC went on strike after writing the December episodes.  If you think about it, all they knew was that Jada knew him as Bobby, he had an affair with Stephanie, and there was a missing part of his timeline.

Unlike the baby switch, which was already in progress (minus the Leo/Dimitri stuff), and the Tate and Holly romance, the DID story was not foreshadowed.

So, I guess we'll never know the original plan, but it struck me what a difficult task it must have been for the scabs, despite their self-interested, non-labor, willing-to-throw-others-under-the-bus mentality.

Oh, yes, Unkie RonC is back. The Leo onscreen quotient just tripled! But, still, wow, what a day today was. Rafe arresting the DA! Sloan showing up at the DiMera mansion. Nicole punching her. Sloan bringing up Nicole's history with Sami, who Sloan refers to as Eric's twin. Nobody else ever lists Sami that way.

And yeah, agreed that Dante having animosity towards Gio is very forced and contrived. And it also has me concerned that it means the reveal won't be happening anytime soon.
    • God, I love that woman. Another amazing interview!!
    • We can only guestimate based on other characters. Chelsea was said to be 23 in the first episodee and based on Marttin wanting to run for President in the next election, he's about 30/31. Eva and and Kat are somewhere between that  so Id say closer to 25 or 26
    • no argument here! and as she was singing, i kept wondering how many verses ‘amazing grace’ had. looked it up: 13 — 13! — and i think she must have sung  every one.
    • Yasss, ANITA!!! GET HER!!!   Awww at Smitty calming Martin down.   'Oh, you're the one leaving.' That face like stone. Go 'head, Nicole.    Eva vs Kat...the gift that keeps giving.
    • I have to admit I still have a nagging complaint about timelines - Why aren't we allowed to know how long Ted and Nicole have been married or how old Kat and Eva are? Or for that matter, when Anita last released an album? BTG is a new show with no SORAS or timewarping. MVJ and Guza are working from a fresh bible. There is no need to be so coy about ages and anniversaries, especially when most of the storylines are driven by past events.
    • It was an extremely rare interview even then - I was shocked when I read it (as mentioned I'd forgotten just how far in she went). You could see how hurt and annoyed she was. I'm surprised he thought she came up with the baby story herself. She and Charles Keating did a good job with the material but it was absolute hokum. Even if they loved Carl and Rachel (and clearly they did), I don't see them coming up with stuff that, frankly, read like Geocities fan fic. Malone was clearly hobbled by NBC and P&G, but re-using so many of his old stories and his soap bible instead of actually coming up with material suited to the characters or show did not help. It was also fascinating reading her comments about Rachel being in her, fighting back against the writing, and how she had to try to mediate. Reminds me of Marie Masters talking about how hard it was to say goodbye to Susan when she'd been with her for 40 years. That subject is always compelling, that duality. And it reminds me of Eddie Drueding's comments a year or two earlier about Rachel losing her drive. Clearly Victoria saw her the same way.
    • Seeing this trash get good ratings says nothing good about daytime audiences. It's embarrassing.
    • Cat does feel committed to being a goofball (the other term has been reconsidered in recent years).  I wonder, given her brother Aaron, if Cat was less attractive prior to the surgery?  Remember the 1973 movie The Girl Most Likely to?  My fanfic for the moment is Cat commenting on how people treat her differently now that she is gorgeous.  One assumes that pre-surgery, Cat never had two men fighting over her for a date.  So, it might be fun to see that side of the story.
    • It's probably one of the only conflicts the story will have, aside from Dante being upset with Lulu when the truth comes out. They really needed someone else who actually knows Gio is Dante and Brook Lyn's son and kept quiet.
