As an Arkansan, I understand.

Like I said yesterday, working there for almost a decade...it used to be MUCH cheaper than it is now.

But in terms of trashy...well...I believe my friend and also former co-worker who left to follow his music dreams said it best...Olive Garden is Italian Denny's. And surprisingly gets picked on A LOT online I see.

I heard that what I mean is what is the show's plan

I dont want Heather out and going to Bobbies to get a daily BLT. She should at the very least be at a well secured mental facility

Is someone over at GH trying to get Genie Francis to quit by having her part of this Heather redemption arc?

At least Genie Francis was playing the scenes today as Laura with Curtis that she understood and felt the pain Curtis was talking about. I am sure it wasnt written that way but Genie showed Laura's humanity at the end. TY.

Laura did look sad and it showed her humanity. I think this Heather issue is tied to the fact that Laura also had mental issues. BUT what Laura needs to realize is that Her and Heather's mental issues are different and sometimes a person cannot be saved.

I thought it made Laura look good that in her own words she finally explained what she's doing, why & what part of it is completely out of her control. And, at some point Laura is going to remember that Portia egged on Esme to try to get Esme & Baby Ace to get Spencer out of Trina's life. Right now Portia is an unrevealed hypocrite.

But, to her credit or maybe I should say to the credit of the story, Heather has already shown a change in her way of thinking. She now regrets actions that before she justified. And, she now clearly has shown the first bit of remorse.

Wow. They gave Gregory a whole montage??? And darn it if I didn't tear up a little. It was probably my own father relationship. And I did like seeing the younger pictures of GH since he was quite the fox back in the day on tv. I can't believe that against my own judgment...because I did want Alexis and Harmony way back when...that I grew to like him with first Alexis and now Tracy. But he did have a finite end. Kinda like some of the other characters were getting with PM writing. So alas...and I can't help, but wonder if that means we about to get a more bloated cast since I honestly felt PM was writing with a goal in mind for a lot of the characters, some of which included exits.

I know Kristina isn't as oblivious as this, but Kate Mansi did such a great job with the disillusionment over Sonny attacking Dex.

I did like the Sonny/Carly scenes because when it comes to an unsettled Sonny, Carly has been good at calming him. That said...so I take this to be the next turn in the Sonny Off his Meds storyline. So hmmmm.

That is the question...something I'm starting to say as well.

I love that I was one of the first to call the Drew/Nina hate coming from a mile away. And I do enjoy how we all picked up on the vibes between Drew and Willow. So I do hope they go there with Drew and Willow (though I love Drew/Nina) if only to see Michael's head explode.

I hope it goes down like that as well.

Same.

    • Coming into June...   It just occurred to me that seeing Carter/Hope engaged that there was something missing. Oh, yeah! DAPHNE. I missed a few episodes, but she left, right? So is Ridge going to be the spoiler for Carter/Hope now? I felt that Daphne/Carter/Hope had more legs to it. But I guess we will see.   I did enjoy that show circling back around to Luna/Will/Electra. Katie was spitting nothing, but truth. Same for Sheila. And it's good to see Luna vs Electra, and they gave off more adversary chemistry this time around versus when they were at Deacon's.    I was happy to see Liam reduced to C plot.
    • To bring over from the May Sweeps Thread from @Chris B   I know the fashions have gotten mixed reviews but I actually like what the new costume designer is putting the cast in. It feels more modern and the more tacky pieces I feel make sense for rich people. They're buying for the brand and the price and we often see celebs in things like this. Especially for a character like Nikki, I feel the more over the top (and tacky), the more realistic it is.   I agree. While it has been hit and miss no question, I have found it fascinating to watch what the costume designer is attempting to do with the various characters and their clothes. Some have been overdue. Some have been fascinating. But (outside of Billy) not boring to watch. I definitely find it more modern as well.   My growing issue has been it's not good that the best reason to watch Y&R as of late has been to see what people are wearing rather than the writing. It feels like a red flag.
    • Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss.    I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
    • And that charity does still get mentioned from time to time. I want to say the last time was some time this year, too.
    • Oh, no. Vernon has definitely had his moments.   Choose silence anyone?
    • Search YT for Edwyn Sanchez, he posted an AI enhanced episode of ATWT and it is beautiful.
    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
