Kind of funny to see some callbacks to classic Y&R last week with Harrison calling Jordan a witch and Victor's bomb shelter dungeon still intact, haha.

I've been laughing at all of the things Jordan "no last name" is being called. Lots of actors have picked up on EB's way of saying "that Jordan woman." Even Phyllis and Daniel said it. This week Victor switched to "that Jordan broad." Nikki called her a beast, and Harrison called her a witch. Jack simply called her "the Jordan" a la "the Donald" (assuming PB missed a word there, even though he's the self-proclaimed master of rote memorization).

(There are no spoilers in this interview)

"While portrayer Melissa Claire Egan admits she misses Chelsea’s wild days of machinations and love triangles, the real-life mom is honored to tell these grounded, important stories about depression, OCD and trauma."

In my opinion the rapist / rape victim romance (rapemance) of Chelsea/Billy negates any good they are trying to do.

Hold up!!! Not Victor bringing back Julia's man's set. I...

But seriously that set with the winebottles is giving me DAYS OF OUR LIVES Secret Room and I'm not hating that at all. In fact, I was firmly Team Victor for doing it. It could be my personal feelings about kids in danger, but I was mentally cheering him on.

It's been surprising how interesting this week has been. Nikki thinking she was going to get one over on Victor...only for Victor to be Victor-ing. It was a surprising good climax. Kyle found Harrison. And AL acted her butt off. The Giggly Heffa trying to make it about her. I just felt everyone did good. And smart on Victor for telling NO ONE where Jordan REALLY is. Given the last two Jordan fights, I wouldn't tell anyone of them either. So when people do find out...it better not be blame Victor. And now a new tale starts with 'where is Claire?'

Meanwhile... Ashley has ANOTHER personality. Lord Baby Jesus!!! But like I said before...I can see ED is having a ball and she's playing them to the hilt. Cuz I liked the Southern Belle in the jazz bar. I did not like that they did a lot of the set-up off-screen. And then it was the cliffhanger on Tuesday and it was ignored on Wednesday.

Week has been good with these stories (and Vicious Lily), but there's such an uneveness to everything.

Just watched. So hollered. Especially given Victor's history of keeping rivals in a cage (and Y&R history of keeping characters in a cage). Surprisingly inspired.

2006 to Present.

The initial decline in 2006, stem from the death of the show's creator Bill Bell. The show's accelerated decline started continued in 2013 with the addition of executive producer Jill Farren Phelps.

    • The last scene of the final episode did show that life on Wisteria Lane would continue on once the toxic housewives moved away. It won't be as good as the original, but I'm intrigued to see what these new people do with the concept.
    • This underscores the biggest issue that the show needs to work on.   The majority of the characters on the show are all related to one another, which is why we have that B&B esque Dani/Andre hook up situation

    • It was a good episode. I didn't expect things to unravel so soon.   One thing I still don't like about these big events: Where was everyone else?   This is a big event. Everyone should've been there.
    • Mitch, thanks for that history of the Reardon Boarding House kitchen.  I had always assumed that every time the kitchen set returned, it was a recreation of the original set.  So I have been wrong about that.   Was the kitchen set ever used later, while Buzz and the Coopers owned the boarding house?

    • Do they ever do anything well?  The show is about 4 week story arcs - if that it feels like.  Why wouldn’t you spend a month of subtle hints.  Late to events and don’t telegraph it.  Have repeated issues with time; I had a friend whose Mom suddenly was forgetting half the meal in the fridge to be heated for a meal; twice her husband had to go to her work to get her because she was still working and only noticed no one was there until he walked in to find her and make her come home (it was a doctor’s office, there’s not that kind of job);  knowing she had an appointment and not be worried by it, etc.   No, they have him do a head bonk and bam it’s cancer.     It’s almost an insult.

    • Today showed why almost no one comments on this crap soap. -- We're back to pretending that there aren't SCORES of cosmetics companies out there --  only Jabot and whoever else opens up shop in Genoa City to be the competition. No real business runs this way. -- Marchetti is supposed to be an internationally-renowned fashion house, yet both Chelsea and Sally are ready to walk after being high-level executives there. -- It's not often women leave choice executive positions in their field of expertise to work in a business they're clueless about. -- Sally had a lot of nerve shading Chelsea with "It's easy to see Adam's influence on you" when the same damn thing is happening with Billy. -- I'm glad Lauren told Michael to quit, since we've all been mouthing that for weeks. None of that story is helped by CLB's over-the-top acting. -- The scene with Victoria helping a sick, coughing Cole walk to their car on the way to the hospital was laughable. Wouldn't rich people call a damn ambulance? -- Claire was really concerned, wasn't she? She stayed in the doorway instead of helping her mother, and then headed right to Crimson Lights for coffee. Why bother with checking on her possible terminal father at the hospital?
