I have a feeling, if anything, they'll use the ribbon cutting and table read footage as a teaser, with the title card provided to us, via Paramount Global.

I could see that.

Some of us have the instant a certain someone got hired. And it's been commented on more than once, not just by me. If you don't see it feel free to keep it moving.

As long as this thread doesn't become hateful, toxic and racist and people don't tell people what to post, we will all be fine.

If I see someone hyperfocusing on JUST a white guy in this topic... it will disturb me too. That's the scenario IF it's overly obvious, which I don't think it's happened so far, or maybe I should go back a couple of pages and check if I missed something. And if I see something disturbing or racist, I will report it. Just like how I am disturbed by some words people have used in other topics... that were so vulgar... they should... just be in a different forum, maybe one for fetishes and porn, and not soap operas (I've done my duty to report the really hardcore ones). Since there ARE white characters on the show... it's inevitable that screenshots will be posted. And knowing the vibe here... a lot of them will be shirtless... which is absolutely fine. Glad to see everyone has a healthy libido and normal working eyes! (just joking) At this point, I've gotten used to a lot of things. And also... sadly... my personal observation is that the more someone asks and demands of others to not do something... the more others do it just to spite the one asking. It's just human nature. That's why I just report and try to be as descriptive and exact in my reports. And I'm glad to say... it's working.

Speaking to the choir: ANY shirtless guys, honestly. But we both know that'll never happen. 🤣🤐😭

I promise I won’t spam but I do like to make sure there’s a balance of thirst traps of Black men on these boards, being a Black man who is primarily attracted to other Black men and POCs. It can get very blond on SON. And BTG has a very attractive male cast (and let’s be real: hunks are a big part of the pleasure of soap viewership and this show is NOT lacking).

As we should!

It'd make sense, and then fully unveil something more in December-ish?

Like perhaps an aesthetic teaser around Thanksgiving or a time when people would be around tv or social media and then a little bit more mid-December with a trailer closer to NYE/start of January?

The more and more I look into the cast, the more excited I become. Especially the vets. My heart skips just imagining the level of skill and talent these people can offer. Of course... I think we are going to have one amazing matriarch. (I have a soft spot for these types of characters) And I would to see a classic-soap-opera feud... done the way MVJ is only able to do it. I'm so sick of watching one-dimensional drivel on CBS... I think this is a time for change.

I'm that excited, too! And, I really love your new Cher look!

It makes me happy to see [mostly] new names to daytime. It's a promising start for several actors to get their "in" to the world of daytime, guided by those⏤both in cast and production⏤who've come before them, and are able to guide them in what I believe to be a safe environment to do so.

I’m glad that they can walk on the show and not automatically know they’ll be subordinate characters. Almost all Black actors on these legacy soaps throughout history have known there was a ceiling on what they could accomplish.

It’ll be curious how the Mike Manning “Smitty” character fits into the broader canvas. Part of me wishes they cast that role as Black and linked him to another family to open up more story opportunities. (There are potentially lots of interesting dynamics for Black gay man with a white partner.) But MM is very talented.

While I understand that desire, I'm also happy they didn't. There's so much racism steeped in the LGBTQIA+ community, and having a bi-racial gay male couple is nice to see. And given Martin's position in the Senate and desires for being President, that could play a lot. And Smitty's family, as well. The storytelling possibilities are endless.
