He was one half of the writing duo that came up with Carolyn the gorilla for the AW Finale.

That's really not completely accurate. Gary Tomlin was not associated with Another World when it ended as he was Executive Producer of Sunset Beach in 1999. And Samuel Ratcliffe, who apparently had a role in creating the gorilla, passed away in 1995. So someone on the final AW writing team had to come up with the idea of bringing back the gorilla, which originally appeared in late 1984/early 1985.

Okay I got it from Carolyn Culliton, this past year, communicating on UglyX (formerly Twitter) & she must have meant the origins of Carolyn the gorilla & not the revisitation at the finale. That's the only way it makes sense. I'll just take it on myself that I misunderstood. Obviously Carolyn, her mate Richard & her handler Sam all harken back to the gorilla in the 80s & Sam was often credited with writing the comedy & highjinks. Mea culpa, sorry, folks, I now know nothing about who put it into the finale. I have unfairly besmirched Sam & Gary. And, thanks for the heads-up, Robb.

That top ten of script writers is absolutely disgusting. Please, PLEASE bring back classic scriptwriters who actually know the show!!!
