Paul and Andrew have decent chemistry. I still don't think it's as strong as the chemistry between Horita, but we'll see what happens in the upcoming episodes.

And it was nice seeing Chris again and also to find out what he's been up to since he disappeared like Don and Neil 😂 Too bad he didn't make it as a lawyer, but at least he reunited with Savannah.

I hope they let us know how the prisms ended up where they are right now. Stefano managed to get all three before Marlena shot him. Shane dropped the third prism into the ocean, so what happened to the other two?

 

Taylor plays Roman as Chris so it's not a huge stretch. I still LOL they got him to play the role again.

These DAYS specials should be a minimum of 2 weeks IMO. Even Ron at his laziest can make that work (and I don't think the fundamentals of the stories Beyond Salem tells are bad). I think compressing them into 5 hours is too little. You could revive a lot of soaps on their respective corresponding streaming outlets with 4-6 week arcs IMO, but that's another kettle of fish.

Oh, Wendy Shin. Interesting. Not the most interesting part but it gave Tripp and Joey something to do.

So nice having Megan Hathaway back. Can't you just buy those damn prisms. I have like three. Nice mention of Larry Welch. Of course we will see Andrew Masset.

Andrew shirtless so fast was nice! Nice throwback to the hottub electrocution, sort of. Liking Paul and Andrew. Nice to hear Paul mention flirting with Theresa and talking about how he was a closeted baseball player and Andrew all cute and supportive. (Of course no Shane this go-around ... missed opportunity!)

Burton does have some personality, kinda, so it would be nice to see more emotion but it was Ron so of course it'd be Jason-lite

Nice seeing Loretta Devine though. I'll never bitch about seeing Peter Reckell and Bo but I get ya'll had thoughts on heaven lol. It's very ... blue.

 

May watch Episodes 3-5 later. Chapter 2 is still more interesting than the main show.

Bring on Andrew, Paul, Stephanie, Joey, Wendy and Tripp. We did NOT need RSW as Alex Kiriakis (I'm so annoyed by that; no offense to RSW) but someone different.

EPISODE 3

Figured Harris and Megan were working together. Agreed that Megan is such a refreshing villainess. Did we need Jason-Harris in the damn leather jacket too? All I see is Jason Morgan right now so I ugh a bit. 

 

Oh boy. Megan meeting with trashy Thomas who grabs his crotch. Lordy lordy lordy.

 

Loved Hope having BOPE wedding flashbacks. I get Cin's involvement but I wouldn't have minded Doug and Julie being used too. Ciara definitely has more fire on Beyond Salem than the main show.

 

Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso are SO checked in and it shows. Bo to Angela "love you" as she side-eyed him. LOL. I like the comedy between them but I get the heaven annoyance I've read in the thread. To each their own. 

 

I like Gabi and Li. Their inclusion is nice. Loved how Li was ready to pound her in the window. While the cast was full for BS2, Tony and Anna could have been involved in the Prism stuff as balance to Li/Gabi. Just saying. At least Li interacted with Wendy LOL. 

 

Loving Andrew and Paul. Not insane chemistry but really nice rapport. Colton Little is a great find. His mannerisms already remind me of Patsy Pease and Charles Shaughnessy.

 

LOL at "Judge Welch"! Nice to see Andrew Masset and Peter Reckell sharing scenes. Enjoyed the Cruise of Deception flashbacks of Hope in the cage. Bo was SO gonna trash Rafe. Side-note, Harris and Hope are 1000% better than Rafe and Hope ever were. And that's saying something. Yikes. LOL.

 

The main show could take notes and intersect scenes better to create a better flow ... that being said, Episode 3 is a little choppy.

Did the show forget about Kayla and Stephanie? Stephanie could of had a past with Li or something ...
