“Let’s Make a Deal” (2.455 million / 2.862 million) and “The View” (2.285 million) saw the largest uplift in Total Viewers during the week of June 6-10, 2022, according to the latest figures released by Nielsen. The game show was up +99,000 and +166,000 week to week for both of its half hours while the ABC talker swapped places with “General Hospital” (2.192 million) to regain its mark as the network’s top-rated daytime broadcast series, gaining +151,000 viewers week to week.

“The Price is Right” (3.880 million / 4.424 million) remained on top and saw both half hours up +28,000 and +12,000, respectively, week to week. The second half-hour was also up year to year (+24,000 viewers).

“The Young and the Restless” (3.435 million) and “General Hospital” were the only dramas to see a decrease week to week, down -31,000 and -24,000 viewers, respectively. The former series, however, continued to see year to year gains, up +217,000 over 2021, and another +1.487 million uplift from the show’s performance in 2020 when it continued airing a week of classic episodes (reruns). “The Bold and the Beautiful” (3.062 million) gained +47,000 viewers over last week and added +272,000 viewers over last year. Compared to when it aired classic episodes in 2020, the soap was up +1.447 million.

“Days of our Lives” (1.647 million) jumped week to week, gaining +91,000 viewers, and was up another +103,000 viewers over its performance one year earlier.

“The Talk” (1.480 million) was the biggest gainer among viewers year to year, adding +284,000 compared to its low(er) rated performance in 2021. The show also saw an uptick of +175,000 viewers over 2020 which gives credence to the network ordering a 13th season back in April.

Note: Households and Total Viewers for “TODAY 3rd Hour” and “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna” were unavailable at press time. Current rankings in each category are therefore subject to change.

*Notable Preemptions/Schedule Changes

  • There were no notable preemptions or schedule changes reported by Nielsen during the week of June 6-10, 2022

Notes: Viewing levels were hitting multi-year highs in 2020 during the initial shutdown of the country due to COVID-19. “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless” began their months-long era of classic episodes which continued through late July 2020 and early August 2020, respectively. Comparable 2020 figures for “General Hospital” will return in August as the show aired reruns for most of the summer that year and was not rated (NR) by Nielsen.
