Really, Sheila???

But...I didn't see Taylor and Sheila bonding over death coming.

And Brooke! I had wondered when she would show up during all of this.

I do like that the suspense has been building throughout.

Still hoping for a fakeout. Perhaps Bridget knows something we don't.

I still think the better story would've been Steffy partnering with Sheila to crush Brooke in order to 'guarantee' Taylor's happiness with Ridge - like pushing Deacon to reunite with Brooke, etc. Yeah, it's way too logical  and there real motivation - Steffy wants her parents back together and Sheila actually cares about Taylor.

When JMW returned, they could've revealed it, which would've had some real drama that would involve most of the canvas - Finn, Hope, Eric, Quinn, Thomas, Liam, etc. At that point, would Ridge have fallen completely back in love with Taylor? Maybe Brooke's feelings for Deacon got deeper, but Sheila actually wants Deacon, etc.

SHUT UP, RIDGE!!!

Well, I like that the writers remember that Sheila is a nurse, but surprised they are going the 'Steffy woke up and Steffy has amnesia' route with JMS going on ML. Or is this what she will do...be in bed until that is over.

I did like that Thomas had enough brain to ask Sheila point blank if she shot Steffy.

So first Brooke pops up after being MIA for a week. And now we have Paris and Zende (nice braids, Paris!

) after weeks where we were left on a cliffhanger if Paris and Carter are even together? Just...wow.

I thought it was a good week. Way to keep the momentum going. Or if not the momentum, just the suspence. So...well done. Though I don't know where Sheila can even go from here. At least, the writers are trying something with her and Taylor bonding over death. But...that is just stalling. So...what's next?

I'm down with that. LOL

Randomly picking up Carter/Quinn and Carter/Paris/Zende after weeks on the backburner is so.... Days of Our Lives (Ron Carlivati's version). But they definitely need to beef up their "B" stories so I give them credit for that. The Carter/Quinn tale is where they need to go.

They've thrown their plate of spaghetti known as Paris at so many walls hoping something will stick, and it's just not. Carter, Zende, Finn, Thomas. Next, they'll bring back Maya and give them a chem test.

Side note: So Bridget has been in L.A. this whole time, they just don't show her? And now she pops up in the hospital as a glorified dayplayer. Wow.

    • Terrific ideas -- but would Mike and Nancy's great-grandson bear the last name Dallas?  Yuck.  Any way we could make him a Karr?    And in a similar vein, how could Bill and Martha's granddaughter bear the name Marceau?   I love the idea of continuing the Karr, Marceau, Hillyer, and Drake legacies, but if the new characters do not use the familiar last names, the effort to connect them to the past is rather fruitless.  Just my personal observation.
    • And they gave him a whole commercial and everything! Happy to see that star keeps growing.
    • But the REAL question...   ...May Sweeps...OR SLEEPS...???

    • It's doubly a shame because one thing Long excelled at was using backstory to enhance the present story. I think that's one reason why Josh and Reva took off the way they did--the early stuff is really good. (Unfortunately, they ruined it by overusing the characters). Imagine if Roger returned to get involved with Alex, and her brother and ex, who used to be dire enemies, came together to oppose him. Instead, Mike was nowhere to be seen and Alan was written out for years. Yes, casting would have been an issue, but when you think about what they wound up with for 15 years...
    • I've never been so annoyed to be running late. lol   EVERYONE looks so pretty.   Happy to see Andre and Eva interacting, Mona being there, and happy to see Nicole play matchmaker for Dani. Fingers crossed that FOINE doctor from Nicole's last event pops up.   @kalbir Andre looking like a snack in that tux.

      Lmao!!!!
    • Also gotta feel sorry for Mona, realizing today that she’s only known Leslie for a few months; she’s going to blame herself for all of this.
    • The way this show handled Nikolas' shooting Hayden, Austin's murder, the long slow delay to getting rid of Cyrus, etc. we're likely to have it revealed in a year when Nina is 3 weeks away from leaving and has had minimal airtime.
    • Interesting. I love my Roku.  No, I don't know. Who? I mean Disney def does. I would think a number of parties have stocks.
    • Is he still spamming demands that they hire the campy chick from The Haves and Have Nots? Or whichever show it was. I don't think it's an either/or. I happen to think Dana, Dani, Eva, Nicole, Kat, etc. are all great. Certain folks aren't going to be some posters' favorites and that's fair enough. But I would argue most of those characters above (and several others) have caught on with a lot of the online audience. I've even warmed up to Martin!
