Gabi and Chanel always look amazing. Those two are gorgeous and would look good in anything.

Another character whose wardrobe changed with the recast is Sonny. Bye bye stuffy suits!

Amen.  Plus, Leann Hunley seems to be the rare actor who isn't afraid to look older (turkey neck and all) on camera.  That's darn refreshing.

I think both Leann & SSH are timeless & beautiful!

On the flip side, I think SSH could spruce up her look a bit.  She's only a few years older than DH and dresses significantly older.  SSH can do whatever she wants, but I miss a more glamourous Julie.  I feel like Julie is a character that would still be wearing high heels and trying to be on trend even in her 70's.

True.  SSH/Julie should have a more youthful-looking wardrobe.  But not TOO youthful-looking, if you know what I mean.  Otherwise, she's gonna look desperate, lol.

They should have written Sonny's wardrobe changes into his storyline.  They could have said Sonny became vegan while away, which helped him shed weight and allowed him to improve his wardrobe, lol.

Yeah,  I am not saying Julie should look 30, but a little less BINGO night at the community center.  Doug still dresses up, but Julie looks like she's retired in Miami.  Listen, I understand these people are in their 70's plus, but it does seem slightly out of character.

And if she's gonna look like she's retired in Miami, then, I say, be a little more Blanche and little less Dorothy or Rose!

She's a lot more Rose than Blanche these days.  And Julie is a Blanche for sure.

Julie goes with the no fuss hair cut, ugly print flowing tops, chunky necklaces, slacks and granny shoes.

Julie's Harrowing Experience - Days of Our Lives

Agree.  It's not the worst outfit I have ever seen.  It just feels so not Julie.  And again, she's not much older than Maggie, Marlena, Anna, and so on, but she projects so much older and she's still stunning.  And with her acting style, she is just seems form an entirely different era.

She sorta is. She started work when she was still a minor a good long whle ago. Different era, I mean.

I guess, but I think all these actresses started young.  Suzanne started working at 17.  There's a different era and just keeping up with the times.

For the record, I would love to see Julie get a makeover in costume. Mebbe a compromise on shoes.

Oh yeah, she was a Rockette when she was still a baby. I posted a pic of Maureen Garrett last week with the caption that she looked so young & Maureen came on & posted that she of course looked young that she was just a baby.

I don't think Ciara was a bitch, but she had a weird reaction and I wasn't sure why.  That's a fairly normal thing for a friend/family member to offer.  Maybe she was weirded out because the clothes were clearly not for a newborn and for like a 2or 3 year old lol.

Really? I'm terrible with babies/children. Back in my restaurant days, I would give children's menus to infants. And crayons. 😆

Exactly.  Julie was the original heaving bosoms on daytime.  Don't believe me?  Look again at that TIME cover!
