Okay, I'm glad it was just temporary and am happy he's getting these fashion chances. These days actors have to do show much more than just act to have a successful and flourishing career.

NAC was a presenter at last night’s WGA awards in New York. (Not crazy about the ‘stache, but I assume it’s for a role, as he’s been shooting in NYC over the last few weeks.)

BTG: February 2026 Discussion Thread

I did enjoy Izaiah calling Kat out on her hypocrisy. She claims her brand is about empowering women, but she is always tearing one down or being super judgemental. Although she was right about Eva, Kat did come at her hard before she even knew her especially about her style. It seemed like her early interactions with June had a similar disdain. Then when her mother was wearing the dress and dating, she ran to Gran to complain. Like girl! Your mom is a grown woman who is now divorced. Let her live a little. And if she really had an issue with it, she should have talked to her mom, not ran to her grandmother to do something about it.
Ashley and Derek have become way more enjoyable apart. I actually don't mind Ashley as of late.
I surprisingly didn't mind the episode as much.

Guiding Light Discussion Thread

I agree Ms. Crampton was wrong in the role of Mindy, but the show made it almost impossible for her to make the role her own with the timing of her debut where she came into story of Eve stalking/gas lighting Mindy and spending the first weeks yelling and being paranoid anytime she interacted with Eve. Granted she had reason to be weary of Eve, but since she hadn't played the majority of the story, it fell flat.
And to add insult to injury, Marj joined as Alex and the show insisted on restarting the Alex/Mindy feud instead of putting it to rest and moving the two characters onto separate orbits.
The last few months of Ms. Crampton as Mindy showed she had a good handle on playing a Mindy that had matured.. but still had a bit of the character as played by Sims in her. And she was the only Mindy that had chemistry with O'leary as Rick.

The Guiding Light 1948

It's interesting to see Irna transitioning to the Bauers, who will be the mainstay for years to come.
All the original characters from the revamp slowly disappear and the Bauer's take centre stage.
I wonder why this happened? Why were the Bauer's not there from the beginning?Irna had a complicated story set up with Ray, Julie etc
Maybe she felt the story had been told and she didn't want to go any further with those characters?
The Bauers seem to be similar to the Schultz family that Irna introduced when Lonely Women was revamped as Today's Children earlier in the 40's.

It think it was supposed to be about Ed needing to feel needed. Lillian needed him. Maureen was off working (GASP!) and not there to bolster his ego morning, noon and night. But Ed just comes off as a monumental jerk, who really would simply banish Lillian to Timbuktu if he'd had his way, and grow morose keeping his secret.
On rewatch, I think Hamilton was easing into the role when they switched her out with Crampton. Crampton is completely wrong for the role, and sort of made Mindy screen poison.

Awww. I never sat down to watch it, but I always saw clips and heard nothing, but great things about it. And I like Kelly Clarkson ('Since You've Been Gone' gets rocked out to often at work) overall so that is sad to hear.
