Did you know the law clerk is her grand daughter? Cool

The show isn't bad, I wish they'd have asked Bailiff Byrd to return :(

He was a bit hurt that she didn't ask him or didn't even tell him herself.  After 25 years together, you would think some respect was owed here.

I love Judge Judy and hope I can see it.

I'm enjoying Judy Justice, I think she doesn't seem as mean and nasty as she did in the OG show and actually shows some warmth and empathy when needed

The first eppy had me in stitches.  The woman so desperate for a man gets with a little person about 3.5 high, and he only has one tooth in his mouth.  She paid for his dental work and just kept giving him money.  Lost custody of her kid over this man.

I am not sold on the law clerk and stenographer, especially since she's only an actor pretending to type. Overall, the new graphics, intro and overall appeal is nice for a change. It's got the same kind of vibe as Judge Judy, but also feels a bit different. Liking it.

I think Judge Judy viewed this more as a business transaction, and not a personal one, but Byrd thought of it as the latter.

Of course, but after 25 years together?  I love JJ but that was foul.

It’s a bit of a stretch when JJ consults the steno to read things back. 😆 I love JJ and it’s nice to be watching her new series from the very beginning. I’m a little less sentimental about Byrd. I was super happy to see him playing a reverend on B&B but I found him pretty useless on JJ. I thought he was paid far too much to stand there doing crossword puzzles pretty much ignoring the proceedings, failing to make eye contact and not even politely cracking a smile when JJ tried to engage him with a little humor.
