This GameStop story has been fascinating to watch - and now it's reached the political level.   Note: I have one share of GameStop.  LOL

It's been a crazy week and only got crazier today with platforms like Robinhood restricting people to buy.  There's a huge fight going on here......and I'm definitely not on the side of these Hedge Funds/Firms.   I'm with the retail investors here.  I hope the stock soars and crushes the funds/firms even more.......and of course I'll make a little bit of money too.  LOL

HOLD THE LINE TOUPS!!!!!

I invested a little bit into this, just to say I was a part of history and screw over the big guys. I think this whole thing is fascinating. Retail investors now know the power they have when they band together and that scares Wall Street.

Of course I'm holding! LOL  The potential of a short squeeze is still there and I don't want to miss out.

And the thing is, it's the fault of these Hedge Funds who shorted the company at an absurd amount.  People found out and said, "That's wrong!  This is what we're going to do about it."    And here we are.   Good luck! I'm with you with me one share.

Don't celebrate just yet.

They are now flooding the market by being allowed to sell, which brings the price down and the hedge funds don't lose on the short position they took.

Yeah, it's awful.  "You can sell, but you can't buy."  Such B.S.

We should start our own group called SONWallStreetBets.

    • GET THAT HEFFA, NOSY NURSE!!!   I'm sorry to see Smitty and June coming to a middle ground. It seem like that tension would be between them for at least one more story arc. A writing change?   I'm sorry but I love the teen unit of Ty, Samantha, and Jessica (and Rocco, Danny, Charlotte over on GH which is what today is reminding me of). I'm a sucker for soap teens. lol.
    • I really hope Laura doesn’t get reelected. She doesn’t deserve it. Imagine her campaign staff, freaking out at the Metro Court as election results come in while she’s hanging out with Sonny.
    • Thanks for that. It was great to see her in an interview. She's very likable. Although it was somewhat confusing. What new soap is she talking about going on audition for in 1973. Was it The Young and the Restless? Is it just me or did they never even say the name of this soap opera? Days wasn't new in 1973 and there was no "Jack" with three daughters on The Young and the Restless. What soap are they talking about? The editing around that part was weird and choppy. I felt like there was a chunk missing or something. And I'm not sure why she was saying she got colorectal cancer from HPV and said it's because she never got the HPV vaccine but then said she's never had anal sex. I'm not a doctor but that didn't seem to make any medical sense. I don't know. Maybe I'm tired. It just seemed like some of this interview didn't make sense.
    • If it helps any, the last script cover from the Elman papers that I have is from episode #3,736 airdate November 15, 1977. Writers are the Hollands with Frank Salisbury.
    • B&B really does look incredible. The lighting and the polished sets have made a significant difference how visually appealing the show is now.
    • I found the problem with the Labine era was that the show lost some humour when the Labines came on and it could be dull. They also didn't seem to understand some of the characters. As others have said, it looks fantastic in comparison to the next regime but I just remember boredom being the primary response.
    • Something I didn't realize: Frank Ashmore, who played Monica's investigator Corrigan in 1981, was also Victor, the third guy in the cockpit, in Airplane!
    • Thanks, maybe I will skim through those episodes.  I have previously binged late 1985 through early 1987; April-June, August 1992 (I skipped Carlo Hesser murder trial), Jan-March 1995 and I began watching in 2006. I just struggle to stay consistent with routines especially binging routines haha
    • I could've sworn we went over the Bobbie thing a while ago, and saw her introduced to Rick and Lesley as "Nurse Barbara" in very late '77? Or was that early '78? I know the clip is online. Jackie always credited Marland with creating her IIRC.
    • Thanks.  Loon Lake - very on the nose. With that "dad" outfit Bo looks even more like Cassie's father...
