lol so true.

I love DAYS, but it would likely be the one cancelled out of the four left. ABC owns GH. CBS has The Talk floundering.

I do see it moving online. It does well in streaming. I don't think that gets talked about enough. But networks also still cling to network ratings and advertisers SO I don't know if it really matters it does well on streaming. Corday would likely try to keep it so I hesitate to say it will be cancelled. LOL. DAYS was pronounced dead in 2006/2007 and here we are.

What would NBC replace it with? Today #600? Good Morning America does better.

In terms of what would replace them, most definitely another cheap talk show.  The genre (as it always has been) is so saturated. But instead of the '90s when it was Sally Jesse, Motel etc... doing tabloid topical issues a day, it's celebrity interviews and games or opinion blabbing and speculation on current events. At least you had a good variety of talks shows, game shows and soaps back then.

Jerry's show still airs reruns in syndication however. At least there was scenario variety compared to Maury with the same old DNA testing every episode.

Lynn Toler left Divorce Court, plus Judge Judy is in her last season, and Steve Harvey got the boot a few tears years back

Daytime tv will definitely be even crappier if soaps get the boot.

    • French fan summary Rusty took over Simon's job at Lewis Trucking after Simon transferred to Lewis Oil's North Carolina office to live near Jessie and Calla. I doubt they would bother following up a story for offscreen characters eg marriage and a baby.
    • I suspected that the performance with the reveal was the reason why the Ted actor got the axe and it looks like I was right. He wasn't really good at conveying what needed to be conveyed in those scenes. Claybon is at least slowly improving (but I agree that he still needs to work on his line delivery), but I do wonder what will happen when his big reveal is coming up.
    • I've already asked this before, recently, but can anyone who watched those years more closely tell me if anything said about Jessie and Simon at the end of their profiles is accurate (about them marrying, naming a baby after Brandon/Lujack, etc.)?
    • Nicole is way too smart to not know she was carrying twins - she's a doctor! My guess is that Leslie did abort her baby out of fear, and as payback, stole Ted and Nicole's child (Eva), and stole Kat from another family to replace her in the hospital.
    • Those Soap Central profiles have a lot of incorrect info. According to SOD summaries and the Daytime Newsletter of the time,Tim left town for a new job and Pam reunited with the father of her baby and also departed Springfield. They did not marry.
    • Do we believe that Jabot is at the level of Estee Lauder?? I am on board with Jabot deciding to expand but the way it was handled was ridiculous. Jabot just decided and bingo, that was that. Not months of negotiations and decisions about how it would fit into the Jabot portfolio. And then no follow through. Josh thinks he's serving business stories by characters sitting around and discussing mergers, takeovers and job switching. Now we have Audra setting up her own company -Vibrator or something. Well, why not? You don't need staff, office space or even products.
    • He a dirty dog! Those are his kids and he hurt everyone. At this point he needed to just come clean. I can't believe I was lusting over this man! I hope they aren't quick to forgive.
    • The way I took it is that he did not want to confirm or deny anything until he talked to Nicole first. He was very calculated with the wording he used with Martin and Kat
    • I still see Alfonso Ribeiro as Carlton when Martin gets angry.
    • Not that I want to defend Y&R's writers, but it's not as absurd as you'd think and I believe they plucked it from reality (and then bungled it). The Estee Lauder Companies purchased Tom Ford's brand several years ago and I am willing to bet that's how Jabot came to buy Marchetti.
