I guess the perspective is no one will watch it after the second season.

Thanks for the reminder! I'll be checking it out. The original is one of my all-time favorites shows. 

I will give it a go. From the promos I feel like they've captured the tone and vibe I was hoping for. It looks well cast too. I think hopes are high for this one with ABC. I have to say the comedy lineup on ABC is pretty good. Goldbergs, Wonder Years, Conners ... even Home Economics isn't bad.

They have a good cast, too, and a plum time slot. It should be interesting.

I'm definitely going to watch.  I don't do much network tv anymore but this is high on my list.

I just watched the pilot (directed by Fred Savage, by the way),and really liked it. It left me wanting more.

I really enjoyed it.  And yes, it was cool to have the pilot directed by Savage.

The cast is very engaging - especially Dule Hill as the father.

It's definitely going on the DVR!
