Members Contessa Donatella
Please register in order to view this content I always loved Olivia Hussey, in Romeo & Juliet & in Lost Horizon. As you know she died recently, at the age of 73. I am 73. Last night I saw a new YouTube video tribute to her. It's by her Romeo, Leonard Whiting, & I can't really explain it but it made me cry. Members Contessa Donatella
Okay, in the category of deaths that are sad but also weird, a state judge in GA committed suicide in his courtroom yesterday. It was going to be his last day in office, which it also turned out to be. https://www.newsweek.com/steve-yekel-suicide-georgia-state-court-judge-2008184

Members janea4old
I am curious, too, but would prefer not to discuss this on the Memoriam thread. @Maxim would you reply on the Brooke-Valley thread, please? Edit, I went to the link Maxim referenced > link to specific post < for clarification, and learned that it's not KKL or Brooke at all. Members Contessa Donatella
Jan. 3rd was the one year anniversary of Bridget Dobson's death. It seems amazing that a year has already flown by. She is missed. May she continue to Rest in Power and Peace. I'd like share a paragraph from her obit with you. At Stanford, Bridget was celebrated for her trademark creativity and quirky intellect. Her Western Civilization final exam included a question about the causes of the Dark Ages. She wrote an 11-page answer from the point of view of a chicken. For Wallace Stegner’s Creative Writing class she wrote about the problem of birth control from the point of view and in the language of Chaucer’s Wife of Bath. These pieces were read to the entire student body.
