The blackout was the culmination of all the groundwork laid during the Calhoun era that JFP took credit for. Sadly all the momentum would be lost not long after.

GL Summer 1992 had three big cast departures w/ Kimberley Simms, Sherry Stringfield, and Beverlee McKinsey. While the last four months of 1992 weren't bad, the departures left a void in the show. Then came January 1993 Ellen Parker departure and we know the rest.
