Unfortunately this show, as it is now, absolutely does not want to center a new generation of Abbotts around Asian-American characters. They barely want to center the Winters, a black family, around black people which is why we had 13 years of Cane.

 

I'd have Keemo return for revenge, I'd create some backstory where Jack distanced himself from Keemo after Kyle's birth, John has his white son, what does he need Keemo for? Keemo has spent the last 25 years creating a name for himself and now wants to claim his birthright. I'd retcon something in John's will regarding ownership of Jabot having to do with his biological heirs. I'd give him a few kids too, who I would introduce first in the lead up to his return.

And that both sounds interesting and also nothing they would actually do.  You are so right about the Winters family.
