Another champagne socialist and ex-Bernie dead-ender, Elizabeth Bruenig. One of the more toxic, as she pushes her extreme views nonstop and no one cares because she hides behind being a "mommy blogger" and a lot of horny, fat, ugly men who pretend to be on the left want to [!@#$%^&*] her.

Her husband, Matt, is also wretched.

What makes her worse than her fellow poisoners like Brie Brie or Jimmy Dore is that she is employed by a paper that too many people still respect. They give her bigotry and defense of wretched people (and she is also another faux-leftist who has spent more time offering support for the Atlanta shooter than to his victims) cover.

The Bruenigs have always been scum and the sooner the hipster left accepts it despite their pride and shunts them, the better for the entire American left as a whole.

One ratio to rule them all: Politico's Rachel Bade gets pilloried for their attempt to quote Stephen Miller as an impartial voice on Biden's "border crisis". I shall not link to the glorious ratio, it is visible in the original tweet.

The Washington Post tends to get an unearned pass, but they consistently have the most cutesy, desperate-to-be-liked "reporters" around. Somehow this makes me cringe even more than when Dave Weigel was reposting Salo images to try to get anyone to believe the trust fund kids at Chapo wouldn't walk over his corpse.

Most media critique of the Biden presser is in the Politics Thread atm, but I wanted to add this.

Guest-starring Adam Nagourney, who I hadn't thought of in years (he was a big hack in the W era).

90% of the WHPC need to be removed in favor of reporters who actually want to do their jobs.

That press conference was an apt illustration of this.

There are also not one but two editorials in the WaPo this morning led off by Ashley Parker and another writer, both of whom are clearly pissed that the public and media takeaway (in many outlets, print and TV) from yesterday's press conference is that Biden owned them and the press on-site looked like unserious goofballs. So now her angle is: "No, Biden is obsessed with Trump, not us!" It cracks me up.

More trouble for Politico, which has been stepping in it with a speed generally reserved for the NYT in recent months:
