Katie Rogers of the New York Times is also heavily pushing whispers and gossip, as that paper loves to do more than anything. And NBC News is huffing and puffing over Hunter advising his father. I think they know Biden isn't going to drop out or be forced out, so they are sprinting to fatally wound what's left of his campaign.

They can try, but what's true about Trump is true about Biden as well: the media needs him a lot more than he needs them.

Oh, I would LOVE to see how Black Twitter would respond to that, lol.

She seems to be such a divisive figure for almost everyone, just a nonstop barrage of racist, sexist hatred, and anyone who supports her is accused of being in some kind of cult.

When I see people who insist that Kamala or Pete Buttigieg could outperform Biden, I wonder what country they live in. Buttigieg in particular would lose badly.

I like Kamala, but the media has always liked to pick at her and drill down into her and her team as supposedly inept, and as a woman of color I think she faces an uphill battle in such a hyper-polarized, racist country atm which has had all its bigotry and misogyny given expanded license since Trump first came down the escalator. Still, the Beltway media circuit may now hate and resent Bidenworld even more. They would have to totally refresh overnight if Harris became the nominee, and they're not ready for that.

I think Kamala Harris could serve and lead well if needed. But I hope it does not come to her having to go head to head against Trump this year (and I really don't think it will). I think that would be very tough. (I also think Buttigieg is a very skilled politician but is in no way ready.)

The media is much fonder of Candace Owens (currently pushing Flat Earther talking points on top of all her bigotries) than Kamala, which says it all about where they are coming from.

Speaking of worthless media:

Any time I think I can't be more appalled by that soiled diaper of a paper they prove me wrong. And it reminds me again of just who is in charge of the NYT - people who hate us and want us gone.

They later changed this from "don't vote" to "won't vote."

That just looks like a Kids in the Hall character.

Bullseye!

My fear remains this: people on the right, as well as some on the left, want to pick off Biden for various reasons, so they'll succeed in convincing the Democratic Party to force Biden out.  Then, come Election Day, the Democrats will be gobsmacked when the candidate whom they pick to replace Biden AND who they think can defeat Trump actually gets trounced in the election.

IOW, we Democrats are about to do what we always do: play right into our bullies' hands.

It's good to see that mess debunked, but I always come back to the same conclusion: even a Biden who is (allegedly) afflicted with some degenerative, incurable disease is better for this country than even a Trump who is perfectly healthy (which he is most certainly not).
