All of 1983 and January-August 1984 has now been posted. Included are recaps from the first-ever "Days" recapper, Marie Carey, who wrote summaries and posted them to an online message boards on the actual day the episodes aired in 1984! Thanks, Marie, for your long-ago work from 34 years ago!

That belief that Joseph Mascolo had never done daytime (something he seemed to claim himself)...he was on From These Roots and Where The Heart Is.

 

I guess that they were live half hour NY shows and Days was LA/60 min/taped may have made a difference to him.

We don't know how long he was on those shows either though? He might've viewed the earlier as short guest roles while Stefano was his first major role in daytime. Or something.

Mascolo's roles on both WTHI and FTR were both important to the story. He also had two roles on The Doctors that were minor roles. One was a one day episode during the anthology years in an episode titled (A Heart Is A Boy's Need" with actress Eleni Kiamos. He was later a policeman with Penny.
