I loved Family Matters BITD but a revival wouldn't be the same without Estelle and Myra. As we all know, Rosetta Lenoire and Michelle Thomas are no longer with us.

I'm honestly surprised that anyone besides Jaleel White would want a revival. The show completely marginalized the rest of the cast and became a total circus in the last few seasons with Urkel and all of his double roles.

I think that they, rightly, believe a revival would fit closer to the original vision of the show. The wacky Urkel character and all of his adventures would definitely not fly in today's TV landscape, but Urkel as the dorky-hot son-in-law who still gets into it with perpetually pissy Carl would be perfect. I loved Mother Winslow and Myra, but I don't think the show bombs without them at all.

The cast looks GREAT, but that goes without saying. JoMarie Payton being the queen diva of the Winslow family like she always has been and always will be, Telma Hopkins remains one of the most gorgeous (and underrated) beauties in the history of TV and music, etc. They all look like they had a blast getting together.

It took me a good minute to recognize that was Waldo Geraldo Faldo.  Wasn't there a cousin Oliver named Little T or something in the final season(s)?  I thought that was him.

They all look great, I adore cast pictures like that, this one in particular.

Yes.  Give me a show with her, Jasmine Guy, and Robin Givens all together. All underrated.

Pardon my ignorance, but I must know once and for all: How do you pronounce Kellie Shanygne Williams' middle name?  Shah-NEEN?

I can't resist... wtf does 3J stand for?  Was he James III or something?

Edit: Nvm, Jerry Jamal Jameson

Gray, you got it, at least that's the way I remember them pronouncing it on Celebrity Wife Swap.  Years ago on America's Funniest People, Tawny Kitaen pronounced it "Shahn-GAY" which I stood by for years.

    • I honestly don't care if Laura is friends with Sonny.  She's been friends with him for decades.  The way she goes about the friendship is stupid.   She has no sense of self-preservation or awareness about the optics of parading her friendship with Sonny around town.  She practically celebrates it.  There's no reason in the world she can't just keep the friendship low key and explain they share a grandchild and frame the relationship that way.  A lot of Laura's choices, like getting into a public fight with Dalton, just make her look silly and like a fairly incompetent mayor. Carly is another PC lady that's starting to look silly.  I know she's explained her plan a lot, but it's still stupid and moving at a glacial pace.  If Joss is 45 by the time her revenge plot unfolds, what's the point?  Just dump Brennen and move on please.
    • On that same note, it's astounding to have mobster Sonny in the same office with Mayor Laura chatting it up about their mutual grandson. Think about the reaction if John Gotti and Mayor Eric Adams had a friendship

?? I guess the Logic behind Sonny & Jason acceptance is like when i saw a documentary where FBI agents said they'd rather deal with the mafia than terrorists or cartels---they're the "lesser of 3 evils". Anyway I'm about 30 years late on this convo.
    • Im confused. Does Jessica know anything about June's relation to Tyrell? At the start of the episode, it seemed like June was gonna slip that he was her son but she caught herself but later in the episode she referred to him as "my boy" and Jessica had no reaction like that wasnt a surprise to her No, Anita was putting money in the account every 6 months but we werent told how much was in it when Leslie became a beneficiary. The show has set it up that it was multiplying based off the interest so that its really worth quite alot now. I dont buy it but thats what they've told us
    • What was the point in Lori's return as Mrs. Max Hollister? That little story never made much sense to me.  Were there plans for a permanent return? Or even a new family with her as the matriarch?
    • I guess it depends on your device.  I can watch CW shows via their website on my Windows PC.
    • Ooooo A Liam episode? I'll watch it later today. They sure are churning the daily episodes out early.

    • Welcome back, Shawn Douglas! It's been a while. It really is too bad that the writers don't really have an interest in the character because there are still a lot of ways that he can be used effectively on the canvas. He should have been a part of the 60th anniversary celebrations as well. If anything, just to represent Bo and Hope. And I'd much rather see Jada paired with him than possibly with Theo. But I enjoyed him getting caught up with Belle, and comforting her. I'm sure they'll find their way back to each other at some point but I do like them as divorced friends. I just hope we see it play out onscreen. Belle being a dick about Sami again was unnecessary though. And we finally saw Liam again!  I'm curious to see how this storyline is going to play out, and who's going to be weaved into it. He and Abe do work well together too. And we learned that he has a kid. Hopefully, we'll learn more about his character in the future. But I'm not really sure about Johnny and Chanel suddenly having problems with raising Trey. They've wanted a baby for so long, so I don't understand why this is even an issue. They should know by now what it's like to raise a baby. But I did enjoy Johnny's scenes with EJ, and that Johnny still hasn't refused to forgive him. This storyline was/is very clunky, but having the two of them be at odds is the right decision. There's so much story potential that can be drawn from that. As for Chad... there was no time for us to see his reunion with Will, but there's time for us to see him talking BS with Leo? I don't get it. And I don't get all this random dating app stuff either. Leo and Javi were boring af too. If we're forced to endure them, can they at least have some real conflict? The two of them losing the baby was the perfect opportunity for it.
