Charmed reboot

I remember they went back in time and relived their past lives back in the 1920's somewhere in the second or third season back when Constance was still somewhat in charge. This would have been interesting to see the previous Charmed One's previous lives if they were going to change the timeline. They also went back in time to the 70's as well, and that was when Patty was pregnant with Phoebe.

I enjoyed the show in its early years even though some episodes could be dreadful like the one where actress Barbara Stock gave a literally career-ending performance or Shawn Christian as one of Piper's Season 1 boyfriends for a few episodes. Or that season two ep that wasted Stephanie Beacham badly as a guest star. After Julian McMahon left I pretty much stopped watching and that Kaley Cuoco season was quite foul when I watched it in repeats. There is no reason to reboot the show nor would I want one either.

There was always potential but the execution was often bad and part of that was because the showrunner for the later seasons Brad Kern was quite frankly idiotic. If I recall right TV Guide named him as Worst Producer of 2004.

Speaking of which how the show wasn't able to keep the more interesting, well acted male characters like Andy, Cole, and Kyle Brody around yet for all eight seasons the monotonous dolt Leo was kept around and tortured us. Ugh.

    • Poor Philip. I appreciate how seriously his and Xander’s scenes were taken though. It felt like real drama and not like a big joke. You could actually feel Xander’s pain and anger. It adds another dynamic to the Kiriakis family storylines and I’m looking forward to the effects that this is going to have across the canvas. I can see them weaving Kate and Roman into this storyline as well. And it would be really nice if this somehow helped cause conflict for Stephanie/Alex too, especially because of what Alex did today. With any luck, Stephanie will be furious about it.  And I’m glad that Sarah has Maggie to confide in about her secret. I also liked seeing Steve and Shawn (and their matching jackets

    • TBF, I don't think we've seen her interact enough with the "have-nots" to know if she is or isn't. It's possible, but I don't think you can say that from her interactions with Eva and Silkpress.
    • You're right - though I did confuse his name with an actual actor who was on Dynasty.

    • "Might" is not "is". And I was talking about the specific case about her attitude to Eva.
    • But she can still be a priveliged elitist. She might have the same attitude to anyone from 'the wrong side of the tracks' whether they had an agenda or not. Nicole seems to be an outlier in her family. Her parents, kids and sister seem to think themselves above reproach.
    • Damian's clothes have definitely been a specific look -kinda reads 70's pimp to me . I guess it's a trend?? but it seems more suited to Holden. JR is 51  and I guess Damian is supposed to be a little younger but it looks a little odd on him in my book. But at least they're trying. The men's clothing has been bland/generic for years-either suits or basic casual stuff interchangeable  b/w them.
