Twitter is reporting Garry Marshall is dead (well Access Hollywood on twitter anyway).  He was such a huge factor on TV 40 years ago.   I think this is my favorite moment from my favorite Garry Marshall show

Wow. He seemed so active and healthy up to the end, directing films and guesting on the latest Odd Couple revival. 

 

My feelings on his sitcoms were mixed, but he was a funny man, and clearly a beloved one. I hope he passed away peacefully.


I thought he was older than 81.

I don't know much about his early work, but one of my most favorite guilty pleasure franchises is The Princess Diaries. He had just been saying they were developing the 3rd one. So sad. RIP!

 

Well that site doesn't look very reputable either...I'd of course really love for this to be a hoax though. Man.

I love what he does with a relatively small role in Soapdish, his performance is a highlight of the movie, hilarious.  May he rest in peace.
