Nathan Parsons sucked ass on GH. They still used him plenty. He just left for new ventures. Sebastian Roche was busy in primetime before he popped up on GH. The only one I'd say was poorly used/undervalued was Claire Coffee.

I don't think his that bad either. It is not that hard either to be better than what GH has now on the canvas. MS and RH are way over the top…..the actress who plays Kiki….eh……Dominic is average at best…..his better half is just as bad…..BG is awful but yet he was awarded an Emmy for yelling and screaming….Mo acting 101……GH has probably about 5 actors that are good…the rest suck.

I think MS and RH calmed way down when Ron left. I feel like it's too little too late, especially in the case of Nina. I actually like MS as an actress, but the way Nina started, I doubt I can ever like that character.

Or take them seriously as characters. Both characters IMO have become a complete joke. And the same is happening with Michael Easton's one millionth character he is playing now on GH. He is not a very good actor and to have him play a very annoying and useless character doesn't help.

I still will never see what they saw in him that they decided to create a role specifically for him. He sucks on primetime too.Unlike the ones who were underutilized and left GH I wouldn't call his roles good.

I think we counted 3-4(not sure if I really count JH because he came back to soaps) people  out of X amount of men. Not exactly impressive.

    • If NBC could have for seen the ratings of Lovers & Friends (the replacement for Somerset).. they would have for sure kept Somerset on the air longer. https://jason47.com/days/ratings1976.html  (ratings for Somerset in the final year) https://jason47.com/days/ratings1977.html (ratings for Lovers & Friends short run...getting as low as a 2 rating).

    • I liked them, too, and was really disappointed it never went anywhere. The whole art theft story was ridiculous, but they had a nice chemistry. Certainly nicer than Alan with Christine. With her, he looked like the funny uncle. The worst thing they did to Bolger, IMO, was having Phillip write that DREADFUL novel and dramatizing it while he wrote it. GAG, that has to be in the running for one of their worst storylines that didn't involve wacky things like clones or time travel. Soaps rarely do school storylines, or don't do them for very long. Not the case so much in the early days of soaps, but after GH took off in the late 70s other soaps took their lead and would catapult teens/young adults into adult stories right away. That's one reason Phillip and Mindy ended up with so many ex-spouses--they started getting married really young. They shipped Dina and Cameron off really fast after high school and stuck Alan Michael in a marriage storyline with Harley. Did he EVER go to college? I don't think so. It may also partly explain why Quint and Annabelle had to go, beyond TPTB wanting to do a cast sweep. Teaching is not a profession that plays well on a soap. Quint definitely had to quit being Indiana Jones, because that wore thin really fast, but they didn't do him favors by making him a professor. If they wanted to keep him, they should have done what they did with Amanda (who was in another dead-end soap job, concert pianist)--have him work at Spaulding as one of the major stockholders.
    • Judith McConnell (Augusta) and Denise Alexander (Lesley) were great screen partners on GH.  They got into some stellar arguments in character in the medicine room.
    • He also commented that Brad knows that fans are sick of the constant fake deaths on this show: Finn, Sheila, etc and that it's hard to take this seriously if it's another fake death

    • I just don't think Brad Bell has it in him to actually kill off Liam. He should have killed off Eric when he had the chance. I know John McCook is an original cast member, but Eric is even more useless than Liam. Eric should have died and then it would be revealed that he died without a valid will, so Donna, as his wife, inherits everything, including his shares in Forrester Creations.
    • I think we all will, isn't that how soaps work? lol
    • ^^ I'll believe it when it actually happens.
