April 2, 201510 yr Member Okay, guys. What's the verdict on Face from Nick Jr.: Cute or creepy? I always liked him, but I could understand why others wouldn't. I loved it!!
April 2, 201510 yr Member Allegra's Window was the show I would watch with Gullah Gullah Island before going to school in Kindergarten. Unfortunately, none of the videos uploaded of the AW theme are of particularly great quality. This is probably the best one there is, and it repeats itself on a loop, which is annoying. See to me this little girl was terrifying. Seriously. Look at the photo at 0:53. No. The only doll/clown kids show I'll ever accept is "The Big Comfy Couch" LOL
April 2, 201510 yr Member I know y'all remember Rugrats Rap. That was my jam! My favorite Rugrats episode: My other favorite shows:
April 2, 201510 yr Author Member Here are the Rugrats Rap AND Rugrats Rock! And the Reptar cereal theme!
April 4, 201510 yr Member From Rugrats and Doug and Ren & Stimpy to Clarissa Explains It All and Family Double Dare and The Secret World of Alex Mack, this is your old school (aka: the 90's) Nickelodeon thread! And yes, I'll include 90's Nick Jr. in there, too. Maybe even old school Nick at Nite. I was happy to start this thread, as I can probably guarantee you there are fewer more hardcore 90's Nickelodeon fans than me. I was there during the glory days, and when The 90's Are All That debuted in 2011, I was right there, too. I even bought this book specifically dedicated to the Golden Age of Nick: http://www.amazon.com/Slimed-Oral-History-Nickelodeon%C2%92s-Golden/dp/0142196851 Anyway, to start things off, here's this classic 90's Nickelodeon ID: *Note: I wouldn't mind including some stuff from 80's Nick either, as it first debuted as a network in 1979, but since I was born in 1989, I'm not as familiar with Nick history until around 1993, which is when I first began to watch. I just got the book in the mail!! Reading it now!!
April 11, 201510 yr Member I was looking up to see when Linda Ellaberee's show ended and to my utter surprise it's still on!! I loved that show..
April 12, 201510 yr Member I feel so old reading all of these posts for old school Nichelodeon LOL My era was mid 80s to early 90s... and during that era.. there was a mix of american/canadian/british cartoons and shows. My fav as a kid Very trippy.. but the original flagship show Another 80s Canadian show.. Lastly.. a telenovela cartoon
April 12, 201510 yr Author Member One of my favorite stories is how Cheryl Chase, the voice of Angelica on Rugrats, still has people to this day who ask her to say "You dumb babies!" in Angelica's voice or sign that on their autographs. It really was Angelica's catchphrase. Clint Eastwood even admitted in an interview once that he watched Rugrats and Angelica was his favorite character, and Susan Sarandon (the voice of Chuckie's would-be stepmom in Rugrats Go To Paris) said the same thing once, too.
