I had heard gossip about the former locale for Big Ed's being staked out months ago, but everybody was sort of dismissing it recently since apparently no work was being done at the location (as far as they knew, that is). But I have always suspected Everett McGill - who had worked with Lynch for a long time - would be back, and I still think so. I don't think they'd break my heart by having James run it, but who knows. Many people have been unofficially confirmed via Lynch and their personal correspondence, but it's kind of wild that the most 'official' word on who is back other than Kyle so far is Wendy Robie, of all people. Who we'll probably see this week! I would about die if Everett McGill or Peggy (or Mädchen, who many think was tweeting about her wardrobe fitting last week) also turn up.

If anybody doesn't like endless spamming of Double R construction tweets I suggest you take a break for at least 24 hours. I never stop!

It's kind of weird seeing them with the LFB photo when we know she will have nothing to do with the revival.

Well, you never know. But yeah, the photo is a gag, I think.

Meanwhile, from a local Snoqualmie blog, another pic of the all-new Double R, still under construction:

A quick peek inside (through a propped open front door) revealed wood paneling already on the walls and red neon lights adorning the ceiling….the Double R Diner began to resurface.

According to the City of North Bend, other filming-related road closures are “a moving target” and as of September 9th they don’t have any firm information to release to residents

Another pic. I love the blue, the arrow and the apparent takeout/drive-thru addition; a nod to changing times. It only makes sense the Double R would evolve.
