Thanks @Vee .

SNL had a little card for David Lynch last night, which says more about Lorne wanting to be part of the zeitgeist than their views on the man (Lynch was never on SNL, but Bob Uecker, who hosted in season 10, was ignored). Still, SNL and Twin Peaks do have a lot of ties - from about 1990-2001 they had a near-constant connection due to hosts, musical guests and cast members.

Getting into this right now, with the help of a super-fan of both the series/David Lynch. And, as a result, they are already getting the bill for the therapy I'll need from watching.

That's no shock.  Aside from Eddie Murphy and maybe Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Lorne Michaels likes to pretend the Dick Ebersol-produced seasons never occurred.

First Twin Peaks Day without David Lynch...but we'll never truly be without him. I watched a little of the pilot and it hits just as hard every time.

I'd forgotten all about it. I'll have to revisit something this week.

More than half-way through the revival, and wow... things are interesting, to say the least. Definitely do not think we needed 18 episodes, though.

You're right.

We needed at least 36 episodes of Dougie.

@DRW50

Frost and Jennifer Lynch talk Lynch, Peaks, and Lynch's unmade Unrecorded Night series for Netflix. I do hope they publish the scripts as mentioned.

It is nice (and sad) to hear Frost confirm something was 'in the wind' for more TP.

More from NME.

Lynch implied that he was interested in expanding the world of Twin Peaks via waitress Carrie Page. Were you talking about continuing the series?

“A little bit, yeah. We had a little bit of a recipe forming; nothing terribly formal, but it was in the wind. I felt there were uncertainties about his health, so I didn’t press him on it, but nothing really stopped the flow of his creativity. I’m kind of the same way, so yeah, we’ll see what happens.”

Can you say anything about what those tentative plans might have involved – is it something you can still see happening?

“I mean, I honestly don’t know yet. It’s still kind of too soon, but it’s something I’ll get around to thinking about long and hard.”

The anecdote at the end of the NME interview about Warren Frost is touching.
