Has anyone else seen this?

Wow! I loved the first eppy and put the series on DVR. Anything remotely related to vampirism is must see for me.

It's... OK. The dialogue is awful, but then again I suspect it's meant to be like a B horror movie so maybe that's on purpose, and the various characters/plots often feel like their in different shows. Del Toro's direction was great (it's a shame he seems to only be directing the pilot...) That Sweet Caroline scene was brilliant. So I did like it, but I'm not sold on many aspects of it yet.

Some tightening up is definitely in order. The Sweet Caroline scene was brutal, but it worked. I rewound it a few times.

EM, did you catch E2? Very solid. Did more with the characters and I think the dialogue was really good. If you watched, what are your thoughts?

This was very promising in the beginning, but by the end of the season my interest dropped heavily. I'll still check out S02 to see if any improvement is ahead.

I'm looking forward to S2. I enjoyed last year for the most part. Is the best written show out there - probably not. But it's entertaining, and it's take on an often-told story was good.

My only complaint last year was the make-up for the Master was a little hokey.

I tried, and it was just awful. A poor man's Walking Dead. Even stuck it out for Kevin Durand, but it was too hard. I'd like for TIIC to be horsewhipped. This had the potential to be good.
