I think my favorite story about Irna (I read about it in Gerry Waggett's Days of Our Lives trivia book) is when she was in a story meeting and a painting fell off the wall and hit her on the head. She was a notorious hypochondriac who insisted on being rushed to the hospital, where doctors and nurses determined that she was fine.

IIRC, didn't Irna leave GUIDING LIGHT in Agnes Nixon's hands just as she had killed off Kathy, one of the show's most popular heroines?
