May 7, 201411 yr Member I think my favorite story about Irna (I read about it in Gerry Waggett's Days of Our Lives trivia book) is when she was in a story meeting and a painting fell off the wall and hit her on the head. She was a notorious hypochondriac who insisted on being rushed to the hospital, where doctors and nurses determined that she was fine.
May 7, 201411 yr Member Yes although she developed a horrible reputation for wanting only her current show to succeed--someone (Agnes Nixon?) in the GL 50th Anniversary book mentions how, while Irna did give her proteges the other shows to take over, she often worked hard, it seemed to sabotage them once she left them. I am not understanding that part. Do you mean she worked hard to sabotage them?
May 7, 201411 yr Member IIRC, didn't Irna leave GUIDING LIGHT in Agnes Nixon's hands just as she had killed off Kathy, one of the show's most popular heroines?
