So what was the point of Maya and Oliver kissing if they're going to throw him over to Ally?

Perhaps, it's the start of a triangle. I figured it was Oliver for Aly when I read spoilers - not like there are only other options, except Carter! Although I eventually see Aly spiking Wyatt's drink and having her way with him in her valiant effort to the the HFTF message alive! :)
