Past Huge Stars That Are Barely Remembered Today?

Another barely remembered big star from yesteryear is Joe Pesci, who pretty much was on top 20 years ago. It's incredible that he isn't even on the Hollywood radar these days.

I loved him in Goodfellas and My Cousin Vinnie but he is very limited on what he can play. Mafia movies had a great 30 year run from Godfather through the Scorcese era but they needed a rest.

Polly played Big Mama in COAHTR opposite Charles Durning on Broadway several seasons ago, not sure about what she's done since.

Burt and Loni are such a perfect example, they got an unbelievable amount of tabloid coverage. I remember ET covering her first taping of Nurses, and she got such thunderous and long entrance applause post messy divorce that they had to stop tape and Loni broke into a laugh/cry.

Most of the people who come to mind are TV stars of hit shows, so I guess it's all relative that when the shows end, so shifts the spotlight. I remember when people like Michele Lee and Donna Mills made regular talk show appearances, were featured guests on Oprah and all that. And I can hardly believe it when a J.R. Ewing or Alexis Carrington reference goes over somebody's head. What a difference only a couple of years in age can make. It's kind of nuts to me that you have to explain who Elizabth Taylor or even Zsa Zsa Gabor is to some people.

I agree that it's all relative. When I think of all the Nickelodeon "stars" of the late 90s who were all over the channel every single day, it kinda stings to know that almost all of them are pretty much forgotten today. Who remembers Preslaysa Edwards?

Was she the fat girl on All That? What was that girl's name, Lori-something?

In all honesty, our relationship just ended when you just called Lori Jo fat. Goodbye & good luck.

It was. But I don't like the shade. Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya. Right up your ass. Bye! xxx

Bye. Your imaginary postcard is not in the mail.

I'll put it in a pile with the rest of the things in life I don't give a !@#$%^&*] about. Right next to our friendship.

She's hasn't completely dissappeared, but Sissy Spacek is certainly WAY lower profile than she used to be. Her supporting role on "The Help" is the last thing i can remember her doing. Considering how good she is, and that she was an oscar winning leading actress... she should be getting starring roles in major motion pictures, it just makes you scratch your head. Loni Anderson was the first one mentioned.. the last thing I remember her in is when she played Candy Spelling on Tori's sitcom, "So Notorious".

I feel left out cause I have no idea what All That is.

Alphanguy- I LOVE Sissy Spacek and completely agree. She should be in more stuff but I feel like most of the roles she'd be right for are taken by Meryl Streep.

I'd say Hayley Mills from The Parent Trap and Pollyanna but that's probably just in America.

Winona Ryder. Remember when she wasn't just a movie star, but the face of a generation of actresses?
