in connection with that antique doll that Victoria secured for the auction for the gala. I get the feeling Womack and his bosses are using the doll to smuggle drugs or some other contraband.

I am pretty sure that is exactly what it is about.

But does anyone know how long this gala is supposed to last? It seems that they shot for weeks and weeks in the same clothes.
