I have issues with Logan, but at least he attempts to be fair sometimes. Had this been Michael Fairman, Nellie, or Jamey, it would have been a wankfest about the ultimate greatness of this mess.

I like that Michael Logan asked these questions. I haven't seen any other soap journalists do the same.

Agreed. I think sometimes there's such a disconnect between what "time zone" the actors are in vs. the audience that they don't understand how stuff like this wears on a viewer. Three to four weeks of FF-ing through a story you hate is plenty of time.

I think there was a feeling of, "Let's just do this all at once and take the hit and, hopefully, time will heal everything."

I do think OLTL really needs to address the John issue permanently vis a vis Natalie and their son, and so I do think it would only be fair and right for that couple's long-suffering fans (of which I am noootttt one) if he could appear, preferably played by the original actor. So I personally hold out a smidgen of hope that the two companies can resolve their differences, that John can put in a few weeks at OLTL, move on for good and then maybe even return to GH permanently, because Michael Easton as a doctor is just totally ridiculous and "Silas" is not cutting it.

That would not be a service to fans of that couple. It's fine the way it is now. As you said, it's not out of character for John to just abandon his life and move on. It's not hindering Natalie's story because there is none. And NO. John McBain should never return to GH. He's not a GH character.

ME chose GH because it was best for him and his family. I wish he would quit talking as if he didnt have a choice to shoot scenes on OLTL like RH. He did. He just chose not to do so. He didnt want to do what it would take to make that happen.

I also like that John just disappeared. That is very much in line with his character and history.
