Maybe TOLN will release the deleted scenes?

if we loudly ask, I think so. They altered the MoreAMC/OLTL shows based on feedback in just a week

Natalie working in the police department really works this time around, before she was still too tied to John for it to be really effective, but she's more of an individual now.

I still have no idea how she seems to now be a full on forensic technician (or something...) though I know she practically was before, but I don't care--it works for me too. Maybe when she was busy being mad at John she did a quick upgrade course.

Now, I wonder how much we're missing. We seem to have scenes where people refer to events that happened off-screen...as well as random folks popping in throughout the episode. I guess this explains it somewhat.

I think most of that is simply the new format of these soaps--the scene mentioned must have been cut for time--I doubt it was longer than a minute or so (Jack asking the concierge to have sex to let him into his dad's room cuz he wasn't answering or something.

My biggest gripe with the episode was that David and StepNora's scenes did nothing to advance any story. I'd have cut it for more Viki and the Banner/shady financial dealings...and especially more Natalie.

That scene was pretty useless to me (I have no real interest in this reality show--especially since David has already done that) but on the other hand I hope they do keep similar scenes that don't do much to advance plot--I like having them. (I know Carlivati said one of the big stories they were prepping when he was meant to do the reboot was who was David's son he had as a teen, but I don't really mind if they ignore that.)

I don't want David connected with any child (or the fathering thereof) whatsoever. Years of character decay have destroyed that, unless the child is going to make him grow up for once.

I was happy thinking they dropped that too- I don't really see it working well with David. Then I heard Jeffrey say he was raised by a single mom...

yeah fuels the rumors that Jeffrey is David's son..

I hope not- how many long lost Buchanans can we find? Natalie, Rex (and Shane), David, Ben, Cord-enough and I'm probably missing some. Also our early 20s crowd (they need a more fun shorthand name) is looking pretty messy already. If Matthew is Jeffrey's uncle, that will just be a lot.

if I recall correctly, David fathered a kid when he was also in HS. Considering Jeffrey is the same age, as Matthew his kid would be several years older, probably in his/her early to mid 30s. Besides David was a grown man by the time Matthew was born. If this reboot were to ever touch on this plot, Id hope they'd at least be consistent with the age and not do the stupid stuff RC with the fluctuating age ranges for missing children and possible paternities. And how convenient would it be if Jeffrey just happened to be Drew's cousin and Matthew's nephew. I hope they dont go that route.

I like how no one in the quad is related. No need to start linking them up by blood

Agreed, the baby and the friendship/relationship history ups the drama ante more than enough

Agreed. But we just know Ron had some EPIC plot twist of one of his favorite strory tropes the "look who actually is the father of some useless character we are now meant to love!" I actually admit a sick part of me would be curious to read what plot ideas they had lined up (and if they used any of them at GH? Somehow I suspect they did...)

Viki would save The Banner using relish...and Tracy, I mean, Dorian would be in her way (because the secret ingredient would be Victor Lord's...genetic material).
